Meet Nicole Clark

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Clark. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nicole , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

I actually like being the only one in the room that looks like me. This has been my position most of my life. Starting out in real estate I worked Class A Luxury Communities, Then transitioned to Condo Management and currently home sales. 99% of the time I was the only one who looked like me in the room.

I take it as an opportunity to be the voice of a different perspective, a different way of thinking, a different way of being. The things is … when we are constanlty around people or frequent spaces where we are comfortable, we never get an opposing point of view that causes us to grow, expand and reach our next level. Sometimes the reason the we are “stuck” is because its time for us to break out of our everyday routine and welcome something OR someone different.

In addition to speaking, I like to lead by example. Show up on time, give valuable contributions to the team/staff. Be a self starter, when I see something that needs to be done… I just do it. Especially if it is going to enhance the look,/feel/visibility of the company that I’m working for. This has earned me ALOT of respect and jealousy in these spaces. However, It has also positioned me to be successful personally and pushed me to a level of excellance professionally.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Originally I’m from Huntsville, Alabama, My family was a military family so we relocated to Atlanta, Ga. The last stop for my father. Here is where I’ve developed and built a thriving career in real estate. My background in Custom fashion design, entrepreneurship, and corporate real estate management has given me a unique
eye for quality, craftsmanship, and investment value—a skillset I’m prod of and allows me to help my clients make savvy, informed decisions.

I began my real estate career leasing and managing A+ luxury apartments and quickly ascended into managing exclusive condos, estates, and commercial properties. My reputation for excellence, integrity, and exceptional client service has made me a trusted advisor and the “go to” agent in the real estate space.

Recently, I’ve extended my talents over to book writing with my newest release “How to get Rich in Real Estate Fast!” where I discuss shortcuts to getting your first OR a more consistent paycheck in the real estate industry. It’s a quick fun. read and will get you in the mindset of getting to “the bag” in Real Estate FAST!

Another project I just released called “Agent to the Rescue” is a much more in-depth self paced course where I take you by the hand and walk you though properly setting up your systems, giving you scripts that work, funnels, emails to clients, sphere, and more. It’s a “Done for you” package that’s great if you are a duel agent, new agent or need to refresh your business to get back on track! www.agenttotherescue.com

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the qualities, skills or area of knowledge that were most helpful for me were being knowledgeable about both the:

1) Traditional & Luxury Market. Having a deep understanding of traditional and high-end residential and commercial markets, ensures each client receives a tailored approach.

2) Discreet & Personalized Service: My clients value privacy, and I specialize in concierge-style representation, always prioritizing discretion and exclusivity. Working in Midtown and Buckhead there were a lot of A-list clientele that did not want to be verified. This taught me at a young age how valuable discretion is and when you are faithful over a little, you will receive even more territory to manage in the. future!

3) Unrivaled Negotiation & Market Insight: Whether acquiring a dream estate or selling a premier property, My experience in multi-family and condo gave me sharp negotiation skills and data-driven strategies that deliver unmatched results for my clients.

My advice for anyone that is new to the industry OR wants to go “ALL IN” please get a foundation first. Get systems, get a team (not ON a team) a team of professionals to help you so that you are not out here blind helping people with the largest investment of their lives. Learn the market, be well versed on your contracts, learn negotiation strategies, learn buyer and seller behavior/psychology so you can determine which of the 5 personalities up front your potential client has and help them accordingly!

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?

I believe that it’s important to keep refining your strengths. The things that you are not strong in … delegate. Ask someone else who loves to do that thing and delegate it to them. It brings your vibration down and ruins productivity when your are. doing things consistently that you don’t like doing.
