Meet Nicole Green

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Green. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.

Hi Nicole, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My Mom was a great role model. She was a working professional and a mom. She taught me that I can have it all. She taught me how to present myself- not so much in a makeup and done up way, but things that were 100% in my control like smiling and making eye contact when I spoke to someone. She taught me how to dress well, which also inspires my confidence when I am meeting someone for the first time. Confidence and Self-Esteem is always a work in progress. There are some days when it comes more naturally than others. I would say that if you are having a down day, think of all the people that love and support you. There are usually so many! That can give you a little boost. Honestly when I was first starting out, I had a fake-it-til-you-make-it attitude. Once you convince yourself you are confident, that will start to show through to others.
I also make a special effort to absorb positive information. This is crucial to my self-esteem. If I am feeling jealous or insecure about something, for instance on social media, I unfollow the account. This can be hard to do, but preserving peace in your mind and heart is one of the most important things you can do for yourself.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I have been a Realtor for over a decade now and have seen some big changes to our city. The expansion is exciting to me and while we have had some growing pains, I still believe that Denver is one of the best cities in the country! As much as I love the houses, for me it’s about the people. I am passionate about the relationships I’m able to build by guiding my clients through the process. I love to support them, make them feel comfortable, and welcome honest feelings and emotions.

Over the past couple of months I have been working hard to fine tune my new Specialty in Probate and Estate sale services. Focusing on this sector will allow me to make a big impact while bringing these homes to market at the high standard they deserve.

This will apply to anyone that is going through Probate or selling a property through a Trust. I think this particular community is somewhere I can really make a difference as people struggle through one of the most challenging experiences- death of a loved one.

I feel particularly called to the Probate and Estate sale sector because I want to make it as manageable as possible for even more people in their time of need. I can obviously assist with the sale of the real estate, but I would like to take this a step further and be a resource for all things related to end of life preparation or picking up the pieces after a loved one has passed. I can explain the role of the Personal Representative and have an extensive list of trusted service partners both within and outside of the real estate space.

I originally had the intention to make this an area of focus after the death of my best friend’s brother- who was barely 30. He didn’t have much in assets, but he did have a home to sell and I really took the reins organizing landscape clean up, house cleaners, personal item disposal through a junk hauler, donations, then professional cleaning and staging of the home. Some of the other topics of need that arose were funeral planning and grief counselors. Due to the close nature of our relationship, I was able to insert myself as a personal support as well as a professional to execute on the business front. Being a real estate professional, I am able to combine these roles. I have the freedom and flexibility to offer professional advice and probe on what else these grieving people may need. I am an empathetic and spiritual person with the energy and compassion this domain will demand. I am excited about the positive impact I can make in my community.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Listen to your intuition, get a mentor or coach, and surround yourself with high quality individuals that share your values and support you in your journey. As far as early stage improvement, learn and soak up all the information you can, but block out the noise. Creativity happens in the calm. Ask questions and be curious. Pay attention to the people and things that cross your path, they are not by accident. No one is coming to give you the life you dream about. You need to spend some time looking inward and decide what it is you want to do with your one precious life!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always looking for like minded individuals to connect and collaborate with. Anyone that is in a space that supports people as they deal with the death of a loved one or the major family transitions that comes after the dust settles. I am particularly looking for kind, caring and empathetic people that have the same drive for service and lead with their heart. To get in touch, please send me an email at nicole@westandmainhomes or text me at 303-990-2094.

Our ideal clients are much the same. We look for those that are teachable and we can earn their trust. I am open to clients from all backgrounds, but I do feel a particular sensitivity for Millenials that have lost parents ‘early’. We have just begun getting things sorted with careers and starting a family of our own. It’s an especially tough task to settle an estate in the whirlwind of life. These are the people I hope to have the opportunity to help.
