Meet Nicole Harlot

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Harlot. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Nicole, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

In highschool I was motivated to go to college, find a lucrative career and be successful in my own right after seeing my mom struggle post-divorce to find herself and an income that supported us. SHE was inspirational in her resilience and determination to provide for us and be there in every way. In college, I choose a pathway that was logical and that I excelled at- business and economics. I was 25 when I got into the mortgage industry and quickly excelled into a great salary and position within the company. Then after 5 years of being married to the love of my life, we welcomed our first child, Dylan, in June 2017. I had a supported and empowering birth then ten days later, fell into the darkness moments of my life. I had severe intrusive thoughts of harming my beautiful baby boy and immediately was debilitated by anxiety. For three months, I fought my own mind while trying to learn to be this new version of myself, care for this little bundle and heal from this terrible disorder. With much support from my husband, my family, my therapist and doctor I was able to get back to myself. About a year later, after seeing how common PMADs were, and how difficult the Postpartum Period was for many people I knew, I decided to begin learning all I could, joined organizations that support PMADs and starting supporting others. Then in 2019, I was pregnant with my second baby and my pregnancy taught me to trust myself and my intuition, I founded a Modality called Womb Light® in 2020 and have been teaching it to perinatal professionals for the last 5 years, since then I have birthed two more babies, got my trainer’s certification in many other modalities that support the perinatal process in mind, body & energy and have taught more than 200 professionals, the techniques and practices so that they can support their clients. In early 2024, I began the Perinatal Resource Collaborative which is a virtual community and marketing space for Perinatal Professionals which was inspired from the organic network I had acquired over the years. Now with over 200+ Members across 37 states and 4 countries, we are thriving together to create impact, resources, and pathways to better maternal and perinatal outcomes. We have multiple projects and initiatives that are unfolding each month. My purpose found me, it was birthed through me and my experiences becoming each version of the mother, wife and professional I am today. I am so grateful to work in a space where my family, and my passion can coexist.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
