We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Heere. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.
Nicole , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
The question is How do you keep your creativity alive? I’m an artist, My creativity has never tried to die, even when I worked in corporate America and was forced to subdue it or ignore it. The black and white paperwork and the gray cubicles felt like prison. Can I get a pink cubicle? Can I use purple pens? No, really? Why?!!!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am the matriarch of the Housewife Rebellion. I have been making artwork in conjunction with the brand since 2014. In 2022 I turned the art brand into a wine company under the same name. We sell art and wine.
The thing that excites me the most is that the wine is getting the artwork into the hands of more people, and it’s sparking conversation along the way. The wine labels were created from my art and depict proper housewives engaged in rebellious behavior.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The most impactful part of my journey I would say, is just my natural love for making art. I can get depressed if I am not creating. Creation isn’t limited to painting. Developing a brand and crafting its messaging also ignite the right side of my brain, allowing me to tap into my creative flow state.
Another important life lesson has been listening to the opinions of those who are knowledgeable and those who matter. I am interested in feedback about my brand only from people who fall within my target demographic. When it comes to developing artistic techniques, I heed the advice of artists I admire. As for wine, I seek help from experts with proven experience in winemaking and distribution.
And finally, humbly asking for help. I know the art world well but I was green to the world of wine. I spent two years building the wine company, dedicating much of that time to finding the right partners and mentors and learning from their expertise. Everyone I work with is responsive to my calls and emails, providing assistance whenever needed – especially with the complexities of alcohol licensing and distribution.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! If you’re interested in featuring Housewife Rebellion wine in your restaurant or shop, please reach out to us. Consider us for your next event or girls’ night out. Our wines also make fantastic gifts.
