Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Kerr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nicole, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My purpose was directly given to me by Spirit: “do not be afraid of death”, 19 years after my car crash at age 19 while a cadet at the USAFA. Why that long? My memory of the crash was a blank (except for seeing white lights) until that awakening (repressed memories). While seemingly quite simple, it has taken me almost another two decades to understand what that looks like for me. Now, I understand that purpose, and I have shifted my focus towards the spiritual component that is essential to our wellness, yet not addressed by the wellness industry.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I gave up my occupation as a holistic health & wellness practitioner in 2023 due to the on-going stress. As a result of a car crash I was in at age 19 I developed complex PTSD (among other health challenges), which was not properly diagnosed until four years ago. Stress is a major trigger and my over-concern with clients was wearing me down. I am now pursuing my vocation as an Eternality (quality or state of being eternal; having no end; everlasting) Advocate and am focusing on sharing about the spiritual dimension of wellness. I recently published my book, You Are Deathless – A Near-Death Experience Taught Me How To Fully Live And Not Fear Death. It took me 13 years to write and publish-truly from my heart. I recently narrated the Audible version of my book, which was very stressful, yet healing. My book is a national best seller and just received 5 stars from Readers’ Favorite Book Reviews. I would love for my book to be in book clubs because we are a death-denial society. Instead of the doom and gloom associated with death I want people to start talking about the positive experiences and lessons learned. I will share that your concept of God defines your relationship with death. So if there is fear involved in your relationship with God/Source/Creator (whomever or whatever you call it) I can tell you that is not of God. God is Love. Death for me was absolute loving kindness, beauty, peace and freedom. No pain and no judgement. The fear is false. It is a man-made concept designed to keep you from being free and becoming the being you were born to be. I want people to not fear death so they can truly live right now! I offer my services to zoom in on your book club meeting for free if you select it.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Becoming conscious – that is huge. Awakening to the limiting beliefs that are false and sabatoging you from success and being YOU! Then doing things different. (like setting boundaries with toxic people)
Support from loved ones (not necessaily family) that believe in you and are there for you. You have to remove yourself from people who are critical, negative and judgemental of you – especially when dealing with repressed memories coming up and trauma.
Get the resources you need to heal your traumas and check into Soul loss if you have tried almost everything.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Meeting and marrying my husband, Dr. Paul Deering at age 39. He has been there for me in every situation, having my back and caring for me during the good and not so good times (especially dealing with someone who has been chronically ill.) I dedicated my book to him: He saw in me what I could not see in myself, until one day i could. I came back and now I know why.
