Meet Nicole Medrano

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nicole Medrano. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nicole, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Our purpose was shaped through personal challenges, healing, and the power of movement. We both experienced moments of loneliness and uncertainty but through meditation, yoga, and eventually Pilates and sculpt classes, we found a space that allowed us to release, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.

It was in Pilates where we found a true sense of belonging—a supportive community filled with warmth, energy, and shared growth. This inspired us to create something meaningful—a way to give back to the community that helped us heal.
From this, Sole Flex was born—not just as a brand, but as a sanctuary where people could move, heal, and connect without feeling alone.

“Sole” symbolizes individuality while reminding us that we are never truly alone—we are all in this together.
“Flex” represents movement, strength, and adaptability, tying back to our Pilates and yoga roots.

We wanted movement to feel safe, empowering, and inspiring, so we designed products that were both functional and stylish. But our purpose goes beyond that—we also believe in giving back. A portion of our profits goes to animal shelters across the U.S., as we share a deep love for animals and feel called to help those in need.

At its core, Sole Flex is about more than just movement—it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and connected.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

At Sole Flex, we’re more than just a grip sock brand—we’re a community built on movement, creativity, and purpose. Our mission is to provide the best grip without the bulk, ensuring that every Pilates, yoga, or sculpt class feels secure, sweat-resistant, and comfortable.
What makes us different? Innovation meets experience. We package our grip socks in cans to create a unique, interactive moment for our customers—because we believe that movement should feel special, from the moment you open your socks to every step you take in them.
But we don’t stop at socks.
The FlexMag Bottle – Our newest innovation, featuring a built-in magnet to hold your phone while you record your class or healing journey.
Mat Tote Bags – Designed with a dedicated yoga mat pocket so you can go hands-free and move with ease.
Affirmation Cards – Every purchase includes a thoughtful affirmation because we want our community to feel supported and seen beyond their workout.
New Designs Every 2 Months – We continuously innovate, launching fresh grip sock designs every two months, so our community always has something new to look forward to!
What excites us the most is seeing our community share their journey—whether it’s posting their affirmation cards or celebrating their movement. Knowing that we’ve created something that people truly connect with keeps us inspired to keep innovating.
What’s Next for 2025?
We have so many exciting things coming, but first up is our Valentine’s event, “Amor y Amistad”, a celebration of love, friendship, and community. Because at the end of the day, we are all one.
Follow us & stay tuned! Big things are coming.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in our journey have been resilience, adaptability, and vision.
Resilience – Never Giving Up
Building Sole Flex wasn’t easy. Challenges, doubts, and setbacks were part of the process, but pushing forward made all the difference. Success comes from staying committed even when things get tough.
Adaptability – Learning & Evolving
We’ve grown by listening to feedback—from our community, customers, and experiences. Every iteration, from our grip socks to the FlexMag bottle, was shaped by insights that helped us improve. All feedback is valuable, but trusting your instincts is just as important.
Vision – Knowing Our Purpose
Sole Flex isn’t just about products; it’s about creating a sanctuary for movement and healing. Every decision, from socks in a can to giving back to animal shelters, aligns with that vision. Having a strong “why” makes every step clear.
Advice: Let your creativity flow—there are no bad ideas. Stay adaptable, trust your instincts, and build with purpose. The rest will follow.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

We are always looking to collaborate with brands and individuals who share our values—those who are passionate about community, movement, and wellness. We believe in meaningful partnerships that uplift and support our audience in ways that go beyond just products.

Right now, we’re excited about launching our subscription box and would love to partner with brands that align with our mission. We’re also open to co-branded grip socks, offering an opportunity to feature your logo on our products in a way that directly connects with our engaged community.

If you’re interested in collaborating, let’s talk! You can reach us at [email protected] or connect with us on Instagram (@soleflexapparel). We’d love to hear from you and explore ways to create something impactful together.
