Meet Nicole Saavedra

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Saavedra. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.

Hi Nicole, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem through my experiences working with women in the beauty industry. Over the years, I’ve seen many women express insecurities about their appearance, often focusing on flaws that I don’t see at all. This has taught me that everyone has their own struggles with self-image, and it’s a reminder that we can be our own toughest critics.
In helping others recognize their beauty, I’ve learned to apply that same perspective to myself. By looking in the mirror and consciously choosing to see my own strengths and beauty, I’ve gradually built my confidence. This journey has shown me that beauty is subjective and that we all have unique qualities worth celebrating.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am deeply passionate about my work in the beauty industry, where I focus on empowering women through hairstyling and makeup artistry. My journey began with a desire to help individuals feel confident and beautiful, both inside and out. I believe that beauty is not just about appearance, but also about self-acceptance and embracing one’s uniqueness.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to connect with women from all walks of life and witness their transformations. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients leave feeling more confident and empowered after our sessions. This personal connection and the ability to uplift others is what makes my work truly special.
In addition to my services, I am currently working on expanding my brand by offering workshops that focus on self-esteem and beauty education. These workshops will provide a safe space for women to learn not only about makeup techniques but also about self-love and body positivity. I believe that by equipping women with these skills, we can foster a community that celebrates diversity and individuality.
I am excited about the future and what it holds for my business, and I look forward to sharing more about my journey and the upcoming events with our readers.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities that have been particularly impactful are empathy, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
1. Empathy: Understanding and connecting with clients on an emotional level has been essential in my work. It allows me to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their insecurities and desires. For those early in their journey, I recommend actively listening to others and seeking to understand their perspectives. Building strong relationships can greatly enhance your professional growth.
2. Adaptability: The beauty industry is constantly evolving, with new trends and techniques emerging regularly. Being open to change and willing to adjust my approach has been crucial. For newcomers, embracing flexibility and being willing to try new things can lead to valuable experiences. Stay curious and be open to feedback, as this will help you grow and thrive in a dynamic field.
3. Commitment to Continuous Learning: The desire to improve my skills and expand my knowledge has driven my success. Whether through formal education, online courses, or hands-on experience, I’ve found that investing in myself pays off. My advice for those just starting is to seek out learning opportunities and remain open to acquiring new skills. This dedication will not only enhance your expertise but also keep you inspired and engaged in your work.
By focusing on these qualities, individuals can build a strong foundation for their careers and navigate their journeys with confidence.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

One challenge I am currently facing is managing the balance between expanding my business and maintaining the quality of service that my clients expect. As I explore new opportunities for growth, such as workshops and additional services, I want to ensure that I continue to provide the personalized attention and high standards that my clients value.
To address this challenge, I am focusing on strategic planning and prioritizing my time effectively. I am also considering ways to delegate certain tasks, which will help me maintain that quality while still pursuing growth. It’s an ongoing process, but I view it as a valuable learning experience that will ultimately strengthen my business
