Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nikko Najih Bey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Nikko Najih , great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
From an early age I always knew that I would never have a boss for my career. I didn’t know how that was going to look at that time. But at age 8 I told my grandmother I would never work for somebody. I think now it just became second nature and honestly, it’s me having to adapt. When you are in survival mode you aren’t scared to take a risk because you think “what is there to lose?” I say this to say, in this life you have to take risks at some point if you want to see success. You can’t be afraid to fail 1000 times for that one breakthrough moment that changes your life. All because of the risk you decided to take.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Nikko “Najih” Bey, and through INLAND’s four core values—Respect, Family, Grind & Sacrifice—I provide a platform for talented creators through our multimedia production company that delivers services for film, music, and visual content. As Founder and Chief Vision Officer of INLAND, I’ve built a multimedia conglomerate that spans music, film, athletics, and nonprofit work. I’m an independent hip-hop artist with over 1 million streams, a film director, screenwriter, and entrepreneur who’s currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in writing for TV and film at Los Angeles Film School.
What excites me most is that INLAND represents something bigger than any single medium. I left my collegiate basketball scholarship behind to chase a vision, and that gamble has evolved into something that touches multiple aspects of community and culture. I founded Inland in 2020 during the pandemic as a record label/media production company aimed to help artists, athletes, and companies with their brand image and exposure. Since then we’ve been pushing boundaries ever since.
The most meaningful work happens at the intersection of art and community impact. Through The Inland Project Inc., our 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded during the pandemic, we’ve served over 800+ families annually with food assistance and housing services since 2020 We’re not just creating content—we’re creating opportunities for people who’ve historically been overlooked in the Inland Empire area in Southern California.
Musically, I’ve opened for Chief Keef, Nipsey Hussle, E-40, and Dizzy Wright. My single “Find Out” hit #115 on the National Radio Chart. I’ve sold out shows at Complex Hollywood and performed at the Ontario Clippers halftime. But what matters most is that I’ve done it all independently, with no major label funding—proof that you can build something substantial while staying true to your vision and your community.
My true passion isn’t just music, film, or business—it’s creation and storytelling itself. Whether I’m crafting lyrics, directing screenplays, or developing television series, I’m driven by authentic narratives that honor cultural heritage. I’m currently developing “Brother Voodoo” as a supernatural thriller series that blends Haitian culture with mystical elements, alongside other screenwriting projects that push creative boundaries. While simultaneously working on a partnership for my music career.
Through INLAND Records, INLAND Athletics, and Inland TV Network, we’re building an ecosystem where young creators, athletes, and artists can develop their talents without having to leave for LA. The Inland Empire has a population of 4.6 million people—bigger than LA County—and for too long, people interested in entertainment careers had to move away. We’re changing that narrative.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowledge of Self , Emotional Intelligence, and learning how to adapt to the times. Life is unpredictable. We never know when that breakthrough happens. We don’t know when the stock market will go up or go down because of worldly factors. We can’t control the timing of our ups and downs. All we can do is teach ourselves to adapt, elevate with every year and try to improve on what you can improve on. Self evaluate yourself and your progress. Be realistic with yourself not with your goals. Shoot for the stars because if you never get to the stars you still might land on mars.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m manifesting to be aligned with the RIGHT personnel. I want to collaborate and partner with companies that want to build with someone who can formulate a plan and execute it. I want to build with the real movers and shakers that want to change the world and the culture. Entertainment and Education is the top things for the people and for the youth. We need to cultivate and incubate companies like INLAND to have a real impact and change over the world. I’m a man who prides himself on making sure I check my emails and DMs and have a sense of urgency when it comes to this vision and the business. So my email and how to connect with me is not hard at all.
