Meet Nina Ghassemzadeh

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nina Ghassemzadeh. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nina below.

Nina, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

It’s always been vital for me, on a personal level, to bring a sense of purpose into everything I do. However, I spent most of my adult life knowing deep down, that my true purpose was not yet discovered. No matter how successful I was in my previous career field or personal life, a mysterious feeling that I was meant for something different, always lingered.
In order to discover and fulfill my purpose, most importantly, I had to find the courage to leap far outside of my comfort zone and the confidence to start trusting in myself and my abilities. I had to overcome the fear I had about going public with my abilities, and the judgment that could come with that. The journey that brought me to finding my purpose wasn’t a comfortable or easy one, but it resulted in so much personal growth and I’m so glad I was able to convince myself early on that I’m worth it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is Nina Ghassemzadeh. I’m a professional Psychic, Medium, and Reiki Master in Charleston, SC. My business is called Nina Joon Psychic Reiki. In Farsi, the word joon is a term of endearment similar to dear. My Iranian last name is difficult for most people to pronounce, so I chose Joon as a substitute that still honors my heritage.
I’ve always been aware of my psychic abilities, but about 5 years ago, I dedicated myself to learning how to fully tap into those abilities and utilize them for the good and healing of others. I also found myself drawn to the practice of Reiki, which uses the channeling of energy to help one feel an improved sense of wellness and spiritual connection. Since then, I’ve spent hundreds of hours in psychic/ mediumship development classes and have been mentored by accomplished Mediums from across the globe. I am also certified as a Reiki Master and Karuna Reiki Master Teacher.
What makes my Psychic Reiki sessions so unique and different from what anyone else is providing is the way I combine both modalities (psychic/ mediumistic abilities & Reiki) to provide my clients with a much more in-depth and comprehensive healing experience. My goal for every session is to be able to provide the recipient with whatever connections, healing energy, and messages will serve them best and meet their needs at that time. Every session with each client is different, and because of my extensive training, I’m armed with a wide variety of tools/ practices/ methods I can pull from to meet those needs. Whether someone is grieving the loss of a loved one, longing to feel understood/seen/empowered, or hoping to receive guidance, I try to use my abilities to support them.
It’s also important for me to accommodate and support diversity. After all, spirituality isn’t ‘one size fits all’. I’m always honest and authentic in my work, but I don’t have an agenda to push my personal spiritual or religious beliefs onto anyone. I’ve found that some practitioners in this field can come across as harsh, overbearing, and/or too rigid to be considerate of each client’s needs and beliefs. Kindness, and being able to bend or flex to make small adjustments can go a long way in creating a meaningful and authentic experience for each and every client.
I started my business almost two years ago and have spent the time establishing myself as a reputable and skilled practitioner. About three months ago, I left the stability and security of my long-time career at a hospital pathology lab to fully dedicate my time and attention to pursuing my passion and purpose at Nina Joon Psychic Reiki. I’ve never felt so aligned with my truth and purpose in life! It feels surreal that this is actually my life now. I’ve worked so hard, for many years, to get to this point. I’m hopeful for the long-term success of Nina Joon Psychic Reiki, and I’m currently dedicating myself, heart and soul, to achieving it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Authenticity, passion, and bravery come to mind when I think of how I’ve gotten this far with my business venture. My advice for someone starting their own business would be to not imitate what someone else has already created. Use your strengths, creativity, and expertise to develop something unique that will stand out and represent what you have to offer to the world. People tend to be drawn to this kind of authenticity and want to support it. Starting a business can be such a risky venture, no matter what field you’re in, so be prepared to feel vulnerable and terrified yet full of excitement at any given moment along the way!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I would love to collaborate with other spiritual or health and wellness facilitators. I think that receiving energy-healing and empowering messages of love from spirit and one’s own soul can be a complementary experience with other modalities and services. It can also be a bonding experience for small groups, friends, and families. I’d be open to providing short psychic readings to attendees at an event or private party as well. If you think my services would complement yours and would like to collaborate for an event, you’re welcome to email me at Ninajoonllc@gmail.com to connect!
