Meet Nishanth Jegajothi

We were lucky to catch up with Nishanth Jegajothi recently and have shared our conversation below.

Nishanth, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

It just comes from my need to be good and to see the good in people and to hope one day everyone will treat others with respect as long as you do the same.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

So I have been acting in background since 2019 and been with a principle agency since 2023 for auditions. Acting has been my passion growing up because I always envisioned myself in TV shows and movies when I watched them and wanting to be unique characters all the time. I work multiple jobs in the meantime to keep up with bills and build my confidence and hope one day my acting career will take that leap. I also workout quite often for both my mental and physical health especially my mental health. I go through alot of anxiety and depression but the gym always helps me go through it and make me feel more in tune and impressed with myself.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Patience, Confidence and eagerness were most impactful in my journey. If there’s a career you are aiming for you need to be confident that you can do it and show how eager and ready you are for the task and be patient about the process.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

My anxiety and depression and what I do to deal with it is either going to the gym to take it all out. I also talk to my best friends about my issues because they always give me good advice and I also do therapy whenever I can if I can afford it.
