Meet NOAH ARCHANGEL

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful NOAH ARCHANGEL. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with NOAH below.

Hi NOAH, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose was discovered through living and loving life. I have always been drawn to creating, no matter if it was visuals, audio or deconstructing gadgets. A old mentor told me, that if you do something well, do not do it for free. However, I have always had a issue making money helping people. So I combined both and started to create art, but more to help someone else who may not be able to afford it. So, giving free studio time to music artists, designing merch for non profits, and sharing advice with upcoming entrepreneurs has filled my life with purpose and joy. Creating is always going to make me happy and now I can help others with my creations, and that is a win win.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

So my pride and joy is running the record label The Band of the Hawk. Now that I am the remaining artist, I get to focus on collaborating with other artists and labels to push the culture forward. So, even though I have records under Noah Archangel and The Band of the Hawk, both artists are myself. The Band of the Hawk as a collective has transitioned more to a production company and we are looking to produce more songs and records with other artists. Recently, I produced the record ‘There is No Tomorrow” featuring members of Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep and more. This is is the first The Band of the Hawk record, that is not instrumental and does not include any raps from myself or other members. The only lyrics are provided by the featured artists, and we focused solely on the sounds. Next, we will be producing songs with members of Griselda (Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher) and more instrumental projects continuing The Maschine Wars which last chapter was released 2019. Make sure to check the website regularly for new shirts, shorts and hats for the Spring. Bandofthehawk.com

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Confidence – I always knew I was the best. Regardless of trolls, negative friends and family, I knew that what I was doing was great. Just because you make it look easy, does not mean it is not magical. Like the movie Ronin, ‘when there is doubt, there is no doubt”.

Consistency – Keep it going and keep it moving forward. As long as you stay creating, stay posting, stay getting better, all the other things will come together. Anyone that knows me, knows I am always going to be fly, always going to be better then the last time. always looking for more challenges. Stay ready and you will not have to get ready.

Promotions – “Without promotion, something horrible happens, NOTHING”. Do not forget to put the time and money in to marketing yourself and your work. You would be surprised how much a $1 a day can help running a Facebook or IG ad.

Keep going…..

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, always looking for artists that want to create. So for me, the biggest value is their work ethic. If you are running your social media, website and booking your own shows, I want to work with you. There are too many artists and producers out there, and the only thing that makes some more successful, is the work and energy they put into themselves outside of the music. It is fun to make music, but that is the easy part. The hard part is promoting yourself with content and marketing. Farming your email list, setting up campaigns and ads. As long as I see you are working as hard as me, then we can make something happen.

I always tell everyone to go to Bandofthehawk.com and check out the vibe. There are free beats on there as well as other projects. Check them out and if you think we can vibe together, then reach out via the contact page, Instagram or FB.
