We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Noah Fearnley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Noah, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose through difficult childhood situations and emotions. I think there came a time in my life when I realized I found a career path that not only let me find ultimate creative express but also emotional healing in the art of movie making and storytelling.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I find a sense of healing throughout myself being able to make individuals feel a specific way in the story I am trying to tell. Acting is an art that is truly fascinating. A path based truly on human psychology and connection that is ultimately the driving force of human beings. People crave love, they crave passion, they crave emotional connection, and that is something that storytelling through movie making allow artists to express. I love it. I’ll never stop doing it!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Realizing that everyones timeline is not your own timeline. Realizing that pretending is different than being, or feeling. And also at the end of your life, no one is going to remember the times you made a fool out of yourself, only if you were kind and genuine.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I do struggle to read books. I enjoy reading, but not something that does not excite me or interest me. There is a book called “The Intent to Live” by Larry Moss. If your an actor, read it!
