We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Noel Roberts. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Noel below.
Noel , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from something greater than my self. Some would call it source or God. I was born with this belief that I am here to live life abundantly and life has lifed but it did not disappoint . I e experienced some amazing things and met amazing people while here on this blue marble called Earth.
I believe whatever I think about I bring about.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Holistic Life Coach and Consultant who also is founder of a non-profit organization which provides resources and retreats to survivors of domestic violence and trauma.
I founded Noel Roberts Foundation in 1999 after leaving an unhealthy marriage of 10 years. I wanted to provide all the resources to victims that are typically the reason they stay in the relationship.
After years of donate free tangible goods and money. I felt we weren’t healing the human spirit because the same folks would return year after year.
So we decided to make a shift in our programs and offer wellness training. A journey of self discovery and healing. We started a program called the Diamond Wellness Retreat in Curacao and then brought it to Philadelphia, Pa and Cherry Hill, Nj.
It is one of my greatest joys because I get to witness breakthroughs. That is measurable and proof that what I do matters. and is valuable.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities were :
1) I am fearless . I am not afraid of failing or hearing the word no.
2) I do not get embarrassed . If I fall I get up as if it didn’t happen and keep it moving. I don’t worry about peoples reaction to me I am concerned about how I feel about me.
3) I self assess daily to see how can I handle or do things better.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I love to read and many books have poured into my soul. However the one that stands out is “ The Power of now” by Eckhart Toll
The most powerful quote from the Echart atoll was “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.”
Understanding that this very second is all we have the next second is not guaranteed. I make a conscious choice to be in a joyous state at all times . I understand that everything is a choice. How we feel, how we think, etc. So if we can master our emotions and mind we can choose our attitude for the best outcome.
