Meet Noemi Capote

We were lucky to catch up with Noemi Capote recently and have shared our conversation below.

Noemi, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my parents. They have been my muses, showing me how hard work and perseverance can transform lives. My dad learned how to read and write at 14 taught by my mom’s dad. Later on, already married and with kids, they left Colombia for Venezuela for a better life. They had me in their 40s and by the time I was 8 years old, my dad had become a successful business owner. Witnessing how it all unfolded, and the turbulences they had to endure, planted a seed in my heart to work hard for what I really wanted and never give up. I’m grateful to them for giving me a good life where I can go after opportunities with an optimistic heart, ready to do the work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’ve been a dreamer all my life. Dance was my first love. Writing and Songwriting awoke in me as a teen. I’ve written many books, and some are published in our Book Boutique. This Creative Souls world is the result of an idea born in 2016, and though many downs have taken place, the ups have been worthwhile. I founded Noemi Creative Souls to collaborate with artists worldwide as a dancer, poet, lyricist, writer, and headstand artist. I get to join like-minded creatives who are passionate about bringing ideas to life to inspire our world. I also interview and write about the journey of Creative Souls I admire, pouring their hearts into their talents and being beacons of the creative arts. Through this nonprofit organization, I create resources that can bring tangible opportunities to those in the community, free of financial obligations. In music, for example, I act as a sync agent to represent songs to pitch to projects in TV, Film, commercials, video games, etc. This is a way for musicians to earn royalties with their songs. I’m also affiliating with music venues, art galleries, and dance projects to expand possibilities for growth. Everything can be best appreciated in our Creative Souls Gazette, an annual online magazine showcasing the articles, collabs, and features shared on Instagram throughout the year.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three aspects that were most impactful at the beginning of my journey were my intentions, my goals, and who to trust. I feel that no matter how much I’m doing or not doing if I have clarity on why I started in the first place, I can have the courage to keep on, even if the path is disconcerting at times. No one can do for us what we want to achieve, so as long as we have clarity of why we dream the dreams we dream, we can keep taking steps, not being scared about it, but smart about it. Trust the right people to make those dreams come true. Reconnect with our intentions whenever doubts arise and have the realization that our creative souls are always shining. Believe. Trust. Create.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I collaborate with musicians as a lyricist, poets, voice actors, visual artists, dancers, and mystical healers. When I’m not writing lyrics for tracks, I’m sending an artist my poems to create a visual representation of them, coming up with a dance collab idea, or sharing healing tools on our Creative Souls Mystic channel. I love the creative arts. I love being involved in the evolution of ideas. Seeing something that popped into my mind come to life before my eyes. I love writing about it. I love for others to experience it. And I wish for more. I long the day to create a film, a play, a worldwide creative souls event. The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating and collaborating, so I welcome artists, musicians, poets, actors, voice actors, dancers, visual/digital/AI artists, and all Creative Souls who want to create for the love of creating. This is a space where we give shape and form to our creative dreams. When it comes to the articles I share, I’m grateful to those who said ‘yes’ when I asked to write about them. I look forward to reaching more creatives and writing more awe-inspiring stories.
I’m also working on the launch of a few amazing projects, including new music, and the opportunity for authors to publish books through our Book Boutique.
