Meet Nola Singer

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nola Singer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nola, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
I grew up watching my parents continuously give to charity and help others. My parents always taught me the importance of being charitable. I love helping people and feel most fulfilled from giving. It is truly the most rewarding experience to be generous and see the positive impact it has on others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I decided to blend my animal rescue work with my desire for finding the most delectably stylish California rosé wine. Rescue Rosé was launched in 2020. Rescue Rosé is vegan, gluten-free and made from certified sustainable grapes. Each bottle sold donates a portion of proceeds to benefit Love Leo Rescue, A purposeful Rescue and I Stand with my Pack to help save Animals in need in Los Angeles, California. These organizations are all Non Profit, 501c3’s that saves thousands of dogs and helps them find forever homes.

This heavenly blend of Rescue Rosé is made from Pinot Noir Grapes. It’s a Provence style Rosé produced in Monterey California. Light pink in color, crisp, and light bodied with fresh fruit accents. The Price is $25.00. I am hoping to drink a lot of good wine and help save a lot of animals with this wine.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think what helped me launch Rescue Rosé was wanting to help save animals on a bigger scale and trying to pair it with something that I am passionate about. I love wine and thought that it would be a great idea to create a wine that donates money to help save animals. I called many vineyards and winemakers and it took a lot of time and rejection to find the right partners. At first, I didn’t have an alcohol license and all of my work experience was in fashion so people didn’t take me seriously. Also, it was important to me to have a wine that I personally loved and wanted to drink. Perseverance, along with following my heart and passion is what made Rescue Rosé.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am hoping Rescue Rosé helps connect good people who love wine and animals. I would love to host happy hours that bring wine lovers and animal lovers together. I also look forward to hosting events that showcase animals up for adoption to help them find good homes, while raising money to save more animals in need. My dream is to eventually open a vineyard that is also a sanctuary where homeless animals can live. People can visit and enjoy wine while being surrounded by senior animals. I truly hope this wine grows and can help save thousands of animals.
