Meet Nora Arenivas

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nora Arenivas. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nora, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
To find purpose, one must recognize their strengths and talents, know your value, reflect on what matters most, and find fulfillment. In some cases, hardship can lead to purpose; in others, many find purpose by combining education, experiences, and motivation.

Previously, 2019 was a memorable year; many of us experienced unparallel changes in our lives. In my case, those changes made a positive outcome. It helped me find my purpose and pushed me to follow my dreams; I’ve found myself accountable to accomplish my goals and, at the same time, learned to advocate and help others. Consequently, over these past years, I’ve been reflecting and working toward what matters most: family, happiness, and health.

Furthermore, I have learned to see my value and recognize that the energy I’m putting forth multiplies; I have discovered that things I am passionate about get rewarded, and my work impacts people’s lives. The power of setting an intention helps define one’s purpose; it helps discover one’s passions. Intentions provide accountability, and purpose determines your value.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
In Brief, from 2019 to the present, I have been expanding my knowledge and pursuing my Broker’s license, recently becoming a broker’s associate. In addition, taking one step further and intertwining my career with Real Estate, I have completed my Interior Design Associate in Science degree at Seminole State College of Florida. I am always guided by passion and driven by principles; my work aims to blend the artful with the pragmatic.

The real estate industry is dynamic. It requires vast knowledge about many factors, like having an in-depth understanding of market trends, up to date on the latest inventory, and most important, location, location, and location. Whereas Interior designers specialize in creating functional spaces, have knowledge of current trends comprehensive understanding of the home’s architecture, and develop aesthetically pleasing and more attractive spaces for potential clients. The most exciting part of both careers is that Real estate and interior design can go hand in hand and are more connected than ever; it is a perfect match. Having extensive knowledge in both areas doesn’t hurt; on the contrary, combining both careers brings your inspiration to life and boosts your home’s profitability.

My vision is always to exceed my client’s expectations. I am always striving to deliver quality and, at the same time, help my clients build long-term wealth and provide the best service to my clients. My goal is to help my clients to see beyond the décor and see the properties’ true potential, increase the homes’ appeal, and boost their property value. At the same time, focus on intention, cultivate positive awe and gratitude in everything, and remind myself of how I can be of service, help others, and use my skills and knowledge in both fields to maximize my potential and represent others.

As an entrepreneur, in the next few years, I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Interior design; in addition, my next project will be creating a brand with the concept of providing both services, Real Estate and Interior Design; I will call it: House of NARID (Short for Nora Arenivas Realtor® Interior Design).

“Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.” – Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Growing up, I was surrounded by art, culture, and history; I did not recognize how these factors impacted my life and decisions for many years; it made me realize how passionate I am about helping others, how learning new cultures motivated me to continue educating and furthering my knowledge, and how much I enjoy projects that push the boundaries and allows creativity.

Looking back through the years, adaptability, determination, and resilience have impacted my journey the most. First, adaptability because I had to become flexible, creative, and resourceful to face all challenges and develop unique solutions for each phase in my life, teaching my brain that nothing is impossible. Second, determination because without goals and or purpose in life, there is no structure or motivation to keep us moving forward. Lastly, resilience is the ability to bounce back from complex life events, constantly springing about more assertive, with an open mind and heart.

My best advice for everyone who is thinking to start achieving their full potential or in a progressing journey like myself would be to define success for yourself, find your purpose, commit to your goals, search deep inside you, and find what makes you happy, what skills you can use to help you achieve your dreams, keep your expectations high, don’t allow other people’s fears to drive your future and stop you from achieving your goals, and most crucial, practice gratitude, shift your perspective, focus in the positive, and acknowledge what you have, reframe your present.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Growing up, my parents played a significant role in my life. My mother was a woman with a strong character, always determined, courageous, and outspoken. My father was calm and ready to care, guide, and advise us. In addition, my oldest brother Jorge played a significant role as a father figure in my life; he has always been there unconditionally to listen, mentor, and help in any possible way he can. They have impacted my life in many ways, influencing how I see life and its opportunities from a different perspective. They taught me how to become resourceful and responsible in their ways and guided me to develop my purpose in life. A life with intention, resilience, and to follow God’s calling.
