We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Norma Palomares a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Norma, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
When I began in beauty, imposter syndrome was constant. Even with training, I’d ask myself, “Who am I to call myself a professional?” In this industry, every detail is visible, and one imperfect brow can feel like it defines your worth. That pressure fed fear and comparison until I realized I wasn’t meant to carry it alone.
Through prayer, God reminded me my gift wasn’t accidental — it was entrusted with purpose. My work isn’t just about brows; it’s about restoring confidence, healing self-image, and inspiring others.
“I overcame imposter syndrome when I stopped comparing and started trusting God’s purpose in me.”
The shift came when I stopped chasing perfection and started focusing on faithfulness. Instead of asking, “Am I good enough?” I asked, “Am I honoring the gift God placed in me?” Philippians 4:13 became my foundation: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Now, imposter syndrome doesn’t disappear, but it no longer controls me. Confidence comes not from comparison, but from knowing that my talent, combined with God’s grace, makes me more than enough.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the Founder of Dainty Ink Studio and Academy, working as a Luxury Brow Designer & Master Trainer. With over seven years in the beauty industry, my passion has always been helping women transform not only their image but also their confidence. Brows may seem small, but they carry incredible power — they frame the face, restore harmony, and often give women back a sense of control over how they see themselves.
What makes my work special is that it goes beyond the service. At Dainty Ink Academy, I train and mentor aspiring artists, teaching advanced techniques while also guiding them to build sustainable, purpose-driven businesses. For me, it’s not only about creating beautiful brows but also about empowering women to step into financial independence and see beauty as both an art and a pathway to legacy.
Currently, I’m expanding the Academy with new private trainings, mentorship, and exclusive techniques designed for women in Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond. At Dainty Ink, we believe we’re not just designing brows — we’re shaping confidence, independence, and the courage to live fully empowered lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that impacted my journey most were faith, resilience, and mastery. Faith gave me the courage to believe in God’s purpose for my life even when self-doubt showed up. Resilience pushed me to keep going when results didn’t come overnight. And mastery — the dedication to keep learning and perfecting my craft — gave me the confidence to grow from artist to trainer.
For those starting out, my advice is: lean on faith, stay consistent, and never stop learning. Trust that if the dream is in your heart, it’s there for a reason. Be patient and resilient, because success is built step by step. And invest in your growth — every client, every class, every challenge will shape you. Combine those three and you’ll not only build a career, you’ll build a legacy.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
In the past year, my biggest growth has been trusting God with every step of my journey. By leaning on His guidance, I’ve grown not only as an artist and mentor, but also as a woman of faith — learning that true success comes when I align my purpose with His plan.
