We were lucky to catch up with Nova The Rebel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nova, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I developed my confidence and self esteem through performance! I constantly had written raps and performed them in front of friends and family. Then I had taken it to battle rap performances and kept winning. The more I performed it felt like the more powerful I became! I felt destined so was always eager to showcase my talents!
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am an rap artist, who tours the country with Bone Thugs N Harmony! I see so many different cities, I love having the chance to showcase and gain new fans! I also have my own Hip-Hop Academy where I’ve integrated my curriculum into 14 different schools so far! Sharing knowledge with the children and helping their growth not only as young artists but as people period, It’s been a blessing!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The 3 most impactful qualities that had impacted my journey has been resilience, patience and drive! The advice I would have for folks early in their journey is to study, sharpen your skill sets consistently and stay the course! But also remember to learn the business side of this business and remember how much the fans truly matter!
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was staying and standing together as a United front! It showed me the true meaning of family and love
