Meet Odalis Vázquez

We were lucky to catch up with Odalis Vázquez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Odalis, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
It’s rooted in my abundant mindset, the belief that giving leads to receiving. Throughout life’s challenges, I’ve learned to maintain an optimistic outlook in the face of adversity. There were moments when the path ahead seemed shrouded in doubt, yet the universe always seemed to intercede, sending angels my way precisely when I needed them most. This fostered deep gratitude and had a profound impact on my journey. Now, I aspire to pay it forward, to be that guiding light, that angel, for someone else in their time of need.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Chiropractor on the path to obtaining my strength and conditioning coaching certification. I’m not your typical Chiropractor; my passion lies in rehabilitation, and I thrive on working with proactive individuals to help them reach their health goals. Recently, I’ve expanded my services to include virtual consultations, aiming to make them more accessible to people.

Hot, Healthy, and Wealthy is a platform born from the desire to not only offer my services but also to share insights into personal finance, a subject close to my heart. My journey through a doctorate program left me grappling with substantial student loan debt, prompting a deep dive into financial literacy—budgeting, debt management, investing, and more. This newfound knowledge transformed my mindset and propelled my ambitions to new heights. HHW is an effort to take control over my financial destiny, and I share my journey step by step. I always say that health and wealth are two sides of the same coin; when one prospers, so does the other.

Additionally, you can find cute apparel and accessories on my page, including sweaters, t-shirts, mugs, tumblers, and more.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I firmly believe that learning the art of selling is essential for everyone. Whether it’s selling a product or service, this skill is invaluable in any aspect of life.

Resilience is undoubtedly crucial. Achieving your dreams isn’t a simple task, but maintaining clarity about your purpose is essential to staying focused.

Consistency is paramount. Regardless of the size of the action, taking steps every day towards your goal is vital. These small, consistent efforts accumulate over time, leading to significant change. Never underestimate their power.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
This is a tough question because I love reading, and I don’t have just one favorite book. However, if I had to choose, I would recommend ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ by David Goggins.

The book narrates the journey of an individual who conquered significant challenges to attain prestigious titles. It provides valuable insights into the importance of mental toughness and demonstrates how we are all capable of transcending our perceived limitations. It offers insights into mastering your mind, hard work, and embracing discomfort to accomplish extraordinary things.
