We recently connected with Oksana Gruzdyn and have shared our conversation below.
Oksana, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Finding your purpose can feel like an overwhelming journey, especially when life feels dull or uninspired. At Viktoriya and Oksana LLC, we’ve been through this process ourselves, and here’s how we discovered our purpose—and how you can too.
1. Recognize the Lack of Excitement
You know your life should feel exciting, but it doesn’t. This disconnect often stems from two things: either you’ve been pushing too hard for too long, or you’re on the wrong mission. When you don’t care about the outcome, enthusiasm turns into obligation, and that’s a sign something needs to change.
2. Audit Your Inputs
Ask yourself: What have I consumed in the last week that inspired me? If the answer is “nothing,” it’s time to reevaluate. At ViktoriyaandOksana.com, we realized that consuming stories of great men and women in history reignited our passion. Their journeys reminded us that we, too, could achieve greatness. Without these models, it’s easy to feel stuck, because our brains need inspiration to project ourselves into a brighter future.
3. Break Self-Imposed Limits
In today’s world, there are no limits—except the ones you place on yourself. Comparing yourself to others can make you feel inadequate, but remember: what makes you unique is your layered experiences, education, and perspective. The market may not fully understand it, but they’ll recognize that you’re different.
4. Define What You Love and Hate
Ask yourself: What do I love? What do I hate? What do I stand for or against? These questions helped us clarify our values and mission. At ViktoriyaandOksana.com, we stand for empowering others to live healthier, more fulfilling lives—because we’ve seen how transformative it can be.
5. Seek Divine Guidance
Sometimes, you need to ask a higher power: What do you see in me that’s different? Why did you choose me? This question helped us realize our unique gifts and how we could use them to serve others.
6. Identify Energy Leaks
Where in your life are you leaking energy? For us, it was holding onto relationships and projects that no longer served us. Like a plant shedding leaves in the wrong season, sometimes you need to let go to grow. Health—whether in life or relationships—should be your priority.
7. Embrace Redesign
Self-sabotage often comes from clinging to what’s unhealthy. At ViktoriyaandOksana.com, we learned to let go of what wasn’t working and redesign our lives around health and purpose. Sometimes, this means your life may feel smaller, but it will be healthier and more aligned with your true self.
Our Purpose
Through this process, we discovered our purpose: to inspire and guide others toward a life of health, vitality, and fulfillment. We realized that by sharing our journey and insights, we could help others break free from self-imposed limits and find their own purpose.
If you’re feeling stuck, start by asking yourself these questions. Let go of what drains you, seek inspiration, and trust that your unique path will unfold. At ViktoriyaandOksana.com, we’re here to walk this journey with you—because everyone deserves a life filled with excitement, health, and purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on our journey at ViktoriyaandOksana.com, we’ve identified three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in shaping our path: self-esteem, self-efficacy, and the ability to embrace change and growth. These elements have not only helped us navigate challenges but also allowed us to build a brand rooted in empowerment and resilience.
1. Self-Esteem: Believing We Deserve to Win
Self-esteem is the foundation of everything we do. It’s not just about believing we can cope with life’s challenges—it’s about knowing we deserve to thrive. Early on, we struggled with feelings of unworthiness, like many entrepreneurs do. We had to do the hard work of convincing ourselves that we were worthy of abundance and prosperity. This shift from a survival instinct to a winner’s instinct was transformative. It’s what allowed us to dream bigger, take risks, and build a brand that inspires others to do the same.
Advice for Early Journeyers: Start by asking yourself, Why do I deserve it? Whether it’s a healthier life, a thriving business, or personal growth, give yourself concrete reasons. Rehearse your past victories and focus on your wins—this builds the self-esteem needed to move forward with confidence.
2. Self-Efficacy: Trusting Our Ability to Adapt
Self-efficacy is the confidence in our ability to correct course when things don’t go as planned. We’ve learned that success isn’t about never failing—it’s about trusting ourselves to pivot and adjust when needed. One of the most profound lessons we’ve learned is that more wealth is recaptured than captured. Many of the most successful people have fallen and risen again, and that resilience is what sets them apart.
When we faced setbacks, we asked ourselves, Is this the end of one season or the beginning of another? This mindset shift helped us see every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
Advice for Early Journeyers: Focus on building your ability to adapt. Study your defeats dispassionately, as if they happened to someone else, and extract lessons without carrying shame. Trust that you can correct course and move forward, no matter what.
3. Embracing Change and Surrendering to the Process
Fear is a natural part of growth, but we’ve learned that the only way to deal with it is through surrender. Surrender isn’t passive—it’s an active choice to accept what’s happening and move forward. For us, this meant letting go of relationships, projects, and mindsets that no longer served us. Like a plant shedding leaves in the wrong season, we had to release what was holding us back to grow.
We also learned the importance of seeking wisdom from those who’ve walked the path before us. Talking to mentors and elders reminded us that everyone faces seasons of entropy and confusion—it’s part of the journey.
Advice for Early Journeyers: Don’t fear failure or change. Surrender to the process, even when it feels uncomfortable. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and remind you of your potential.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Throughout our journey at ViktoriyaandOksana.com, one of the most transformative realizations we’ve had is the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right mentors and coaches. Successful people don’t optimize for spending the least—they optimize for learning the fastest, and having the right guidance has been instrumental in helping us overcome challenges and develop the essential skills, qualities, and knowledge needed to succeed.
Early on, we learned that self-esteem and self-efficacy are the bedrock of success, but these qualities don’t develop in a vacuum. They are nurtured through experience, guidance, and the wisdom of those who’ve walked the path before us. One of the most impactful lessons we received from a mentor was this: “Would you rather have confidence in your ability to make the right decision, or confidence in your ability to correct a wrong decision?” This shifted our perspective from fearing failure to embracing it as a necessary part of growth.
Our mentors, including one of our recent one’s Rudy Mawer and Taylor Welch, have taught us that more wealth is recaptured than captured. Many of the most successful people have faced setbacks, fallen, and risen again. This resilience is what sets them apart, and it’s a lesson we’ve carried with us. When we felt stuck or afraid of going backward, our mentors reminded us that every ending is the beginning of a new season. This mindset helped us navigate periods of entropy and confusion, trusting that clarity would come with time and effort.
A great coach or mentor doesn’t just provide answers—they help you ask the right questions. They challenge your limiting beliefs, hold you accountable, and accelerate your learning curve. For us, working with mentors was the difference between staying stuck in a survival mindset and stepping into a winner’s instinct. They helped us see that we deserved more than just “enough”—we deserved abundance, prosperity, and the fulfillment of our deepest goals.
While we’ve been fortunate to learn from many incredible mentors, one standout figure was a coach who taught us the power of self-efficacy—the confidence in our ability to adapt and correct course when things don’t go as planned. This business coach helped us reframe our failures as opportunities for growth and showed us how to extract lessons without carrying shame.
Another pivotal mentor was someone who reminded us to rehearse our victories—past and future. They encouraged us to spend 80% of our time focusing on our wins and only 20% on our failures. This practice not only boosted our self-esteem but also reinforced our belief that we were capable of achieving even greater success.
If you’re early in your journey, don’t underestimate the power of hiring a coach or mentor. Our coach Taylor Welch that we have worked with for 7 years helped us build the self-esteem and self-efficacy needed to navigate challenges, make bold decisions, and stay resilient in the face of setbacks. Remember, successful people invest in learning and growth because they know it’s the fastest way to achieve their goals.
