We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Oksana Tademy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Oksana below.
Hi Oksana, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience means to withstand or to recover quickly from difficulty; to spring back into shape. When I think of resilience I imagine a rubber band. You can stretch it, you can pull it but once you let go it snaps back into it’s original size and shape. It adapts to change but doesn’t allow pressure to break it. In fact, it uses that resistance to snap back. Resilience is about enduring and allowing changes to effect you for the better.
For me, having a strong sense of purpose is what gives me resilience. It’s very popular for people to say that purpose is your “why,” but I think it’s deeper than that. Let me explain.
When changes in life occur, and they WILL occur, your “why,” for doing something may also change. Motives can change, feelings can change, reasons can change. Purpose, however, doesn’t change. It may evolve as more of it is revealed to you but it does not change. When you have a deep sense of purpose it makes it easier to weather storms when changes come because your purpose remains constant. It’s the cause and the intent for which you were put here on Earth. So when resistance comes, I don’t feel afraid. I immediately look for the opportunity in the obstacle.
How can I use this to become better? How can I use this resistance to push myself farther? How can I solve this issue and prevent it from happening again? These are the questions I ask myself when issues arise. Those questions come from an understanding that whatever is happening TO me is actually happening FOR me. It doesn’t intimidate me because I know that I was born for this. So, if I’m going through an experience, there’s something at the other end that is meant to help me become who I was born to be. That mindset allows me to stay focused and productive until I find a way to grow through it. So yeah, purpose is where I get my resilience from.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
The name of my company is Legacy Lifestyle Branding! I’m a brand consultant with previous experience as both a Creative Director and Operations Manager. I started this company as a way to take brands from vision to reality by equipping entrepreneurs with clarity, distinction and strategy. My vision is to enrich the lives of entrepreneurs by developing purposeful brands that leave generational impact and establish lasting legacies. Business, in my opinion, should be purposeful. Branding is an avenue for me to walk in purpose.
As for what’s coming up, I have a lot of exciting things going on! This year inspired me to pivot and become more intentional and purposeful with my services. As a brand consultant I don’t just want to create beautiful brands, I want to empower people to create impact with their businesses. So, I recently launched both a webinar and a workshop that I plan to do regularly to spread awareness about the importance of brand messaging and brand strategy.
The webinar is called “Emerge With Impact: Building A Brand That Captivates & Converts Your Ideal Client.” Attendees will be equipped with tools and tips that they can use to start identifying and attracting their target audience.
The Unlocking Impact workshop will allow you to discover the essential elements of effective brand storytelling and messaging and convey your unique story as a pitch that will resonate with your target audience. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of their brand messaging and a refined pitch that they can use to share their business with others.
These events are a great way to take the first step towards creating a brand that is both powerful and transformative! Registration for both events can be found here: legacylifestylebranding.com/events.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The first one is important: refining your customer service and communication skills. I can’t emphasize this enough. If you don’t know how to actively listen or display empathy to your potential clients, you won’t make sales. Taking the time to listen to your clients’ needs and to offer value is essential. You can’t provide the right solution if you don’t build trust and get to the root of the issue. Getting to the root requires you to ask the right questions and to let clients know that you are genuinely there to help them get the results they need. Nothing makes my blood boil like poor customer service so it’s a very important part of my company culture. Treat people well whether or not they’re ready to buy from you and you’ll be surprised how many amazing client relationships you can form.
The second one is setting boundaries in your business in the form of policies and procedures. You have to refine your processes to make sure that you’re qualifying leads and setting the tone for how the client experience is going to be. When you make sure that you have the right things in place legally it takes away 80% of the headaches that can come from working with others. You can’t expect anyone to follow or enforce a standard that you aren’t setting as a leader. It starts with you putting it in place and being willing to enforce it.
The final one was learning the importance of brand storytelling. Once I realized that stories increase the value of a product or service by over 3000% a light bulb went off. See, people emotionally connect to stories and so when you share your brand story they’re more likely to not only connect to your brand but to remember it. I had to learn how to own my story as an entrepreneur and to share it with others. I used to struggle with confidence for years. I thought that being humble meant that I had to conceal my greatness. Then as I got older, I realized that humility was about being so confident in who you are that you don’t have to boast about it, you just let it show.
That’s why brand messaging is so important. It allows you to reach and resonate with your target audience in a deep and authentic way. That’s my favorite part of the branding process: helping entrepreneurs to own their story and share it in ways that empower others. There’s something so fulfilling about seeing people fully accept and express who they are in a way that attracts the people that they’re meant to impact. There’s nothing else like it. I love every part of what I do and I wouldn’t trade it.
How would you describe your ideal client?
Those who benefit from my services are entrepreneurs who are:
– Wanting to improve in public speaking, on-camera presence, or other forms of presentation that are crucial to establish themselves as an industry authority
-Struggling to define or refine their brand identity and messaging in a way that truly resonates with their target audience
– At the point where they’re tired of feeling like they’re hunting for leads in the dark instead of attracting leads
– Struggling to effectively articulate the value they provide to others and get paid their worth
– Needing help to align their purpose with their business goals and create a clear, actionable strategy for growth and success.
– Need a strategy to close the gap between where they currently are and obtaining their goals.
However, to be considered an ideal client, they have to be “action-takers.” They are the kind of person who is compelled by purpose, committed to their vision and consistent with their actions. They are ready to take the action required to change their situation and meet their goals. They are serious about their purpose and don’t waste time. I take what I do very seriously and I work with those who do also.
For those who are ready to take action, the first step would be to schedule a free discovery call with me to discuss their needs and goals. This can be done by visiting my website: www.legacylifestylebranding.com
There is also a free brand guide available on the website for those who would love to learn more about what we do.
