Oliver , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from an incredible father.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m currently marketing/promotions director for the Kaw Valley Silent Film Arts Festival. Promoting the group ” Constellations Vibrations” that compose and produce original Broadway Type interactive shows for classic silent films. Audiences engaging with silent films has never been done before. We are hoping to offer other musical artists the chance to compose for silent films we have in a catalog from the company moonflix.com, that we have a contract. I love the idea of giving people a chance to grow and make a good living at something new they have never done before. My amazing father always told me, there is nothing you can’t accomplish, if you believe and in not only yourself but also others that are trying to move forward in life. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Believe and love what you do. Most people I feel fail because they listen to so many negative things around them. Also, be kind to people around you who are struggling. If you can’t help someone or offer a word of encouragement, just leave them alone. When people see you accomplishing things with grace it impacts them on many positive levels.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Showing me that faith, research, hard work and loving all aspects (good & bad) of my dreams will lead to things I haven’t dreamed of in the future. Making my life complete in so many ways. I feel so thankful to have such blessed souls in my life showing me the way.
