Meet Omar Kaisi

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Omar Kaisi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Omar , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

I can’t say I’ve “overcome” imposter syndrome, I think it’s safe to say I “handle” it quite well, without imposter syndrome checking myself daily and being honest with myself would’ve Been a lot different in so many ways I Do not want to think about haha. It doesn’t bother me at all but somewhat enables me to reflect, check myself and be honest with myself in everything I Put heart and soul into- that being my writing. I tend to focus more on the process by constantly checking myself, limitations and working around them by accepting and acknowledging the syndrome.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

According to my pre school report card, my teachers praised my love for telling stories, I’d gather all the children around for a sermon, delight them with tales from dawn till dusk. From there my Fate had been determined. All I’ve ever wanted is a voice that will be heard. There were times in my childhood when perhaps because I had been raised among books I despised I thought and dreamed of writing my own, becoming a novelist or some spiritual scribe whose sole purpose was to write complex matters of of the heart and soul. Years later I’m proud to say the never ending journey has begun after publishing my first book “A LONG WAY TO GO CANT DIE NOW” I’m determined and excited to finish the second masterpiece.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities which have made an impact in my life are the ones my late mother and father embedded in me which are ;patience, humility and perseverance without these three I would not be the warrior I am today.
The advice I have not only for young folks but everyone is this. Be tenacious in everything you do in your Day to day life, it is that attitude that’ll fuel you in all that you aspire to Be!

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

Feeling overwhelmed is not any rare occurrence, for that I’ve trained myself to live within my means and enjoying the vegetation around the vast piece of land I live on, I’m often disconnected from media or anything that has to do with trends/noise from the city. Since a child I’ve withdrawn from everything around me and solely focused on nurturing myself, taking time to learn what makes a human being such as you and I. By focusing on this being overwhelmed is nothing but An opportunity for me to learn something new about myself and everything around me
