We were lucky to catch up with Orianne Rashtian recently and have shared our conversation below.
Orianne , first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Honestly… I’m not sure I fully have. I still have moments where I wonder if I posted the right video, or if my business happened by luck or chance. And there are definitely times I catch myself thinking, Do I really deserve this? Am I actually the best at what I do?
But then the realization always comes:
No one person is “the best.” No one person is more deserving of success than another.
What I do know is that my clients choose me for a reason, for my eye, my style, my ideas, and the knowledge I’ve built over years of doing this work. People connect with different jewelers for different reasons, and that uniqueness is what makes this industry so special.
I think doubt is normal. What matters is what you do with it. For me, it pushes me to level up, to try the thing I’m scared of, to prove myself wrong in the best way. And when I look back at how many years I’ve been in business, and how far I’ve come, I’m genuinely proud of the woman, the artist, and the business owner I’ve become.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the founder and designer behind ORIANNE, a fine-jewelry brand rooted in storytelling, craftsmanship, and sentiment. I create custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and personalized pieces that are meant to feel like an extension of the person wearing them. What I love most and what I think makes my work so special is that every piece holds meaning. It represents a milestone, a memory, a moment someone wants to treasure forever.
I’m a third-generation jeweler, so this world is in my blood. But what excites me most is how personal it has become. I get to sit with couples and individuals, understand who they are, and translate that into metal and stone. No two pieces are ever the same, and no two stories are ever the same, and I think that’s why clients connect with my work. It’s not just jewelry; it’s art that’s built around them.
I’m also incredibly passionate about making the design process approachable and collaborative. From sourcing stones to CAD creation, revisions, and the final polish, my clients truly get to be part of the journey. That experience of watching an idea evolve into a tangible heirloom is endlessly exciting to me.
As for what’s new, ORIANNE has been growing quickly. I’ve recently expanded my alphabet collection (which has become a customer favorite), and I’m working on launching new personalized pieces tailored for gifting seasons. I’m also expanding my custom-design offerings and taking on more engagement and wedding clients across the U.S., which has been surreal and so rewarding.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three things that impacted my journey the most were creativity, resilience, and relationship-building.
Creativity allowed me to design pieces that feel personal and meaningful. Resilience kept me moving through challenges, mistakes, and growing pains. And relationship-building is ultimately what helped my brand flourish, people trust you when they feel understood.
My advice for anyone starting out: stay curious, stay consistent, and focus on genuine connections. Skills can be learned, but passion and persistence are what really move you forward

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who values intentionality and loves being part of the creative process. They’re thoughtful, detail-oriented, and excited to collaborate, not just to buy a piece of jewelry, but to create something meaningful.
They trust my eye, appreciate craftsmanship, and aren’t afraid to explore unique shapes, settings, or personal touches. Most importantly, they care about the story behind the piece just as much as the sparkle.
When a client brings that level of openness, trust, and enthusiasm, it allows me to design at my highest level and that’s when the magic happens.
