Meet Orlando V Gonzalez

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Orlando V Gonzalez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Orlando V with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I believe I got my work ethic and drive from my parents, and grandparents . My father and his parents coming from Cuba and all having nothing ,also my mother coming from a very large family and just having the minimum. We were always taught to work hard for things we wanted or need to have. Also I like working hard I like chasing it and going against the odds or proving things past the negativity or the ones with a negative mind set

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

First and foremost I would like to thank God and Thank you All .! I appreciate all who support me and the one opes who gave me opportunities. Thankyou .
I am trying to accomplish all my dreams at this very moment. For some reason i am always that guy that as soon as i start to see light at the end of the tunnel.. Boom! ..something happens to set me back ..But I don’t plan on slowing down n I don’t plan on stopping . I want to secure future for myself and my child and my loved ones . I need answer to why my life has been full of chaos . But I love the chase of working hard I also have a strong passion for music it’s been that way since I was a kid . MUSIC was always my go to when I’d be going thru things . I started rapping and writing around the age of 15 yrs old. Me and a group of my homeboys used to chill and Freestyle. I also love cars and old American muscle cars I graduated tech school back in 2008. AS a automotive body technician and I paint cars professionally and owned 2 body shops In the past . Iam certified and been a tech for over 15 years. But am a very hard working individual and iam just waiting for my opportunity or miracle to finally happen and I plan on keep grinding and staying focused until it does

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Watch who you keep around you!. Bad energy, fake friends, negative opinionated ppl !

Make moves in silent!keep important things in motion to yourself.

Pray!

Go by gut instinct and never ignore your gut!

Stay true to your self and family. Keep your morals and Feelings and never fold
STAY FOCUSED AND DISCIPLINED and always keep faith and always keep fighting for what you want in life and hat you believe in. Hard work does pay off

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Not only the fact that I was in a severe car accident recently leaving the studio one night and have to be in a wheelchair for the next 3-6 months . But the fact that iam ready to actually to get more attention or noticed more. Ready for a major label to come sign me and see my work ethic . Things are just hard lately. I mean my life always been hard and like a bad movie but iam just tired man I need something to happen to brighten my life again or give me a boost. Iam not saying I plan on giving up .cuz giving up is never a option . Iam just exhausted. BUT like the same advice i give I plan on me to keep pushing keep writing and remain to myself and stay focused on the goal
