Hi Orly, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My path to purpose was born from compassion, shaped by personal experience, and driven by an unwavering dedication to family. Over the years, through volunteer work in the family-building field, I witnessed the overwhelming challenges – both emotional and logistical that Intended Parents often face. It was in those tender, vulnerable moments that I learned the power of genuine empathy, clear guidance, and a listening ear.
That understanding became the foundation of Alma Surrogacy LLC. I didn’t set out to build just another agency – I created Alma to offer something deeper: a highly personal, boutique experience where each journey is honored with care, transparency, and heart.
At Alma (soul) we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to build a family, and our role is to walk beside them, every step of the way.
Alma is not just a company – it’s a calling. A mission to support, uplift, and guide those stepping into one of life’s most beautiful and life-changing chapters: the journey to parenthood.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
With over 30 years of experience in finance and business management, I bring a unique blend of strategic expertise and personal passion to the field of fertility and surrogacy consulting. Based in North Atlanta, Georgia, I’ve dedicated my professional journey to supporting individuals and couples as they navigate one of life’s most meaningful and emotional paths: the journey to parenthood! As a Fertility & Surrogacy Consultant, I act as a trusted advisor and compassionate guide – offering not only deep industry knowledge, but also hands-on support tailored to each family’s unique needs. What sets my work apart is the personal connection I build with every client. Affectionately known in the community as “Savta USA” (Hebrew for grandmother), I’ve become a nurturing presence for Intended Parents across the country. That nickname isn’t just symbolic—it reflects real relationships built on trust, guidance, and care.
This heartfelt mission led me to found Alma Surrogacy LLC, a boutique agency rooted in empathy, integrity, and personalized attention. Alma isn’t a large-scale operation – it’s intentionally intimate, ensuring each Intended Parent receives the support, advocacy, and warmth they deserve throughout the entire process.
At Alma, we go beyond logistics. We deliver an experience that combines emotional insight with professional excellence. From initial consultation to bringing baby home, we’re “with you all the way” – a motto that reflects both our commitment and our heart.
As we continue to grow, Alma Surrogacy is expanding its network of compassionate surrogates and trusted partners, while also developing tailored services to meet the evolving needs of our diverse clients. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Compassion & Relational Care At the core of my work is genuine compassion. I believe in building meaningful, trusting relationships with every client – offering warmth, empathy, and unwavering support. I go above and beyond to ensure that Intended Parents feel heard, valued, and truly cared for throughout their journey.

2. Business Acumen & Organizational Excellence
With a strong foundation in finance and business management, I’ve developed a boutique agency model that emphasizes transparency, efficiency, and high-touch service. From initial consultations to post-birth support, Alma Surrogacy delivers a seamless, full-service experience tailored to each family’s unique needs.

3. Resilience & Adaptability
The path to parenthood can be unpredictable, and challenges are inevitable. I pride myself on staying grounded in times of crisis – providing steady guidance and emotional support, while also encouraging healthy self-care and building strong support networks for all parties involved.

One piece of advice for those starting out:
Lead with your heart. Know your mission, connect authentically with your clients, and don’t be afraid to keep things personal. Honesty, focus, and intentional growth are key. When your work is purpose-driven and grounded in care, success will follow naturally.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The number one challenge we currently face at Alma Surrogacy is meeting the increasing demand for compassionate, qualified surrogates to help more families realize their dream of parenthood. As a boutique agency rooted in integrity and personalized care, we are honored to guide each match with close attention and heart. However, the need – both locally and internationally – continues to grow rapidly. To meet this challenge, we are actively expanding our outreach and screening efforts to connect with women who are not only medically and emotionally qualified, but also deeply committed to making a meaningful impact. We’re enhancing our partnerships with top fertility clinics and community organizations, while investing in education and awareness to ensure potential surrogates feel informed, empowered, and supported from day one.
We’re also proud to have Alexandra Wetzel, our exceptional coordinator and a four-time surrogate herself, leading many of these efforts. With her firsthand experience and compassionate leadership, she serves as both a mentor and inspiration – helping guide new surrogates through their journey while reinforcing Alma’s commitment to quality, empathy, and purpose-driven care. Through her leadership and our growing network, we continue to attract incredible women who are ready to help build families with love and intention.
