We were lucky to catch up with Ovtcome recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Evin with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I believe I get my work ethic from my mother. I watched her pound the pavement everyday and also do what it is that she wanted. No handouts no begging. She always instilled in me how important it was to have the right attitude when it came to life and achieving your goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Outcome is my stage name. I’m a singer/songwriter. My mission is to spread positivity, healing, honesty, and the importance of being yourself through my music. You can find me under ‘Ovtcome’ on all streaming platforms. My EP ‘DUALITY’ is out everywhere now so check that out and step into my realm.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back three qualities or skills I think were impactful in my journey were; self awareness, diligence, and kindness. If I had any advice for anyone early on their journey it would be to never give up and never focus on what doubters are saying or doing because they aren’t the ones doing what it is you’re trying to do. Keep your focus at all times and it will take you far.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I’m feeling overwhelmed I ground myself and recenter and hone in on why it is I started in on the journey I’m on. More times than not it always brings me back to where I need to be.
