Meet Ozzie Mandias

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ozzie Mandias a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ozzie, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

My parents…

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a DJ of house music [Soulful, Afro, Classic, Deep, Nu-Disco] and aspiring producer. I say producer because I only produced one track.

I graduated from IT school, currently in the process of finishing my undergraduate degree, graduating in May of 2025 and then planning to begin my PhD program in Materials Science.

I did a house music event called, Sunday Soul: Boston and then changed the name to Roohu: Boston. I am currently rebuilding the brand.

The home base of Roohu:Boston is in Boston MA. However, where ever there is an opportunity to do a Roohu event, it will happen.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities or skills that have been most impactful for me is having a high level of professionalism, driven, and have interpersonal skills.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

The challenge I am currently facing is finally obtaining my Bachelor’s degree. But I am pushing through one day at a time.
