We were lucky to catch up with Paige Comrie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Paige, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my mom and dad. They always pushed me to give my best and taught me that if I set my mind to something, I could make it happen. That belief is what gave me the courage to carve out my own space in the wine world, even when I didn’t have a clear roadmap.
I’m also stubbornly determined—in the best way. Once I decide on a goal, I lock in and don’t let go. That persistence is what kept me reading every wine book I could find back in college, what drove me through certifications, and what still pushes me to create new ways of sharing wine today.
For me, wine has always been more than what’s in the glass. It’s about telling stories, building connections, and creating experiences worth slowing down for. My work ethic comes from that same place: showing up, doing the work, and refusing to quit until the vision I have in my head becomes real.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I run Wine with Paige, a wine, travel, and lifestyle platform built around one simple belief: wine is more than what’s in your glass — it’s about slowing down, savoring, and creating moments that matter. Through my blog, social media, and newsletter, I act as a bridge between winemakers and wine lovers, helping people discover unique bottles, off-the-beaten-path wine regions, and the stories that make wine so magical.
What excites me most is making wine feel approachable without losing its depth. I love showing that it doesn’t have to be intimidating or reserved for special occasions — it can be part of everyday joy. That’s what inspires projects like my Inspired by the Bottle photo series, where I create imagery based on the personality of different wines. It’s playful and creative, but also a new way to talk about flavor, style, and story.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding the ways I connect with my community — whether that’s through my social media, curating itineraries for people visiting Napa, or highlighting small, independent, women-led wineries around the world.
If you want to follow along, the best way is to follow me on Instagram (@winewithpaige) or join my newsletter. That’s where I share seasonal wine guides, behind-the-scenes stories, and insider tips you won’t find anywhere else.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three things stand out for me: determination, creativity, and business sense.
First, determination. Honestly, the biggest difference between people who succeed on social media and those who don’t is perseverance. I’ve been at this a long time. Growth didn’t happen overnight, but by showing up consistently I’ve not only built an audience — I’ve built trust, connections in the wine industry, and a reputation for delivering good work. My advice here is simple: stick with it. Even when it feels like no one’s listening, keep creating. That consistency compounds over time.
Second, creativity and creative problem-solving. This path isn’t straightforward — there’s no handbook for how to become a wine storyteller or influencer. You have to experiment, adapt, and think outside the box. For me, that’s looked like creating projects such as Inspired by the Bottle, blending photography and wine education in new ways. For anyone starting out, give yourself permission to try things, to be playful, and to pivot when something isn’t working.
Third, business. My business degree gave me a foundation to approach everything strategically, from pricing partnerships to planning sustainable growth. Creative work is powerful, but without structure and strategy, it’s hard to build something lasting. My advice? Learn the business side early. Understand contracts, value your time, and don’t be afraid to think of yourself as both an artist and an entrepreneur.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
If I knew I only had a decade left, I’d spend it exactly the way I am now. I’ve always said that if I won the lottery, I’d want to travel the world, immerse myself in culture, and savor good food and great wine. That’s already a huge part of my job, and I feel lucky every day that I get to live it.
If anything, I’d just lean into it even more — saying yes to more adventures, seeking out more hidden corners of the world, and filling my days with the kind of meals, wines, and conversations that make time slow down. For me, that’s the dream: to keep exploring, connecting, and celebrating the everyday magic that wine brings to life.
