We were lucky to catch up with Paige Lauren recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
When asked where I get my work ethic from, I’d say it’s a combination of things. Growing up, I was always surrounded by people who worked hard and held themselves to high standards. That definitely shaped my mindset. My family, in particular, instilled in me the value of persistence and discipline. They were always doing what they could to set a good example, showing me that the effort you put in is just as important as the end result.
I also think I draw a lot of inspiration from the world around me—especially from others who are passionate about their craft. Seeing people excel in their fields motivates me to push myself further. I’m constantly seeking out opportunities to learn and grow. It’s all about staying committed and keeping that momentum going, even when things get tough.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the founder and creative force behind PAIGELAUREN, a brand that blends luxury with sustainability to create pieces that are as timeless as they are forward-thinking. My journey into fashion wasn’t a straight line—it’s been about passion, discovery, and finding ways to bring my values into what I create. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for high-quality, thoughtful design, but it’s the intersection of sustainability and luxury that truly excites me.
At PAIGELAUREN, I focus on developing textiles that are not only beautiful but also sustainable. One of the things I’m most proud of is our use of eco-friendly techniques, like hand-marbled eco-dyeing, that reduce waste and minimize environmental impact while still delivering on that luxe, elevated feeling. Our thermal fabrics, for example, are designed to feel as good as they look—soft, breathable, and long-lasting.
What really sets PAIGELAUREN apart is the level of craftsmanship and care that goes into every collection. Each piece is created with a deep sense of artistry, rooted in the desire to make fashion that has purpose, meaning, and a story behind it. Whether it’s through the fabric we choose, the dyeing processes, or the design itself, everything we do is about creating something that reflects the beauty of the world around us while keeping sustainability at the core.
Right now, I’m especially excited about a few new developments—our latest collection is all about combining thermal fabrics with handcrafted, eco-friendly marbled dyes, creating an even more unique, organic feel in each piece. We’re also gearing up for a pop-up event to give people an up-close look at how our textiles are made and what makes them so special. It’s an opportunity for customers to connect with the brand on a deeper level and see first-hand how we merge craftsmanship with conscious design.
Ultimately, my mission with PAIGELAUREN is to show that luxury doesn’t have to be wasteful, and style doesn’t have to be fleeting. We’re creating a new kind of fashion—one that feels both timeless and current, made with the future in mind. I want people to experience the brand not just as a product but as part of a larger movement toward more mindful and beautiful living.
I think what’s special about PAIGELAUREN is that we’re not just about fashion—we’re about cultivating a lifestyle that’s connected to the earth, to artistry, and to quality. I’m so proud of where the brand is now, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next! Stay tuned, because there’s so much more to come.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, the three most important qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that were most impactful are:
1. Creative Vision & Artistic Sensibility
At the heart of everything I do is creativity. Having a strong sense of vision and the ability to translate ideas into something tangible is crucial in any artistic or design-focused career. When I started PAIGELAUREN, I knew I wanted to create something beautiful and meaningful—but it took time to hone that vision and make it clear. This includes understanding color theory, fabric composition, and pattern-making, but also learning how to innovate within those boundaries while staying true to my artistic values.
Advice for others: Develop your creative skills by constantly experimenting. Don’t be afraid to try new things and fail—it’s through those failures that you really learn. Dive into design books, attend workshops, and collaborate with others to get fresh perspectives. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to push the boundaries of your creativity. The more you practice and refine your craft, the clearer your vision will become.
2. Resilience & Adaptability
The path to building something meaningful is rarely a straight line. There have been moments of challenge, uncertainty, and even failure. The ability to stay resilient, to bounce back after setbacks, and to adapt to changing circumstances is a skill that I believe has been crucial in keeping me grounded. Whether it was navigating the challenges of starting a business, or adjusting to new trends, resilience has kept me moving forward.
Advice for others: Expect the unexpected and understand that obstacles are part of the journey. It’s important to develop a mindset that sees challenges as opportunities to grow. Build mental and emotional resilience by setting small, achievable goals along the way, and make sure to celebrate your wins, no matter how small they might seem. Surround yourself with a support network that helps you stay motivated when things get tough.
3. Sustainability & Ethical Practices
As I’ve developed PAIGELAUREN, I’ve learned how important it is to build a brand that is not just about aesthetics or sales—but also about making a positive impact on the world. Understanding the importance of sustainability and ethical practices, from fabric sourcing to production methods, has shaped the entire ethos of the brand. This knowledge was key in differentiating PAIGELAUREN in an industry that often prioritizes profit over the planet.
Advice for others: Start by educating yourself on sustainable practices and ethical sourcing. This is a field that is constantly evolving, so staying up-to-date on trends, new technologies, and eco-friendly materials is essential. Seek out mentors and networks that value these practices, and make sure to embed sustainability into your brand from the ground up—not just as an afterthought. People are increasingly aware of the environmental and social impact of their purchases, and they value brands that align with their own values.
In sum, these qualities—creative vision, resilience, and sustainability—have been the backbone of my journey. For anyone early in their own journey, my advice is simple: Stay curious, keep evolving, and stay true to your values. Success is not just about reaching the destination but about learning and growing along the way. Don’t be afraid to take risks, ask questions, and be open to where the journey leads.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who truly values quality, sustainability, and individuality. They aren’t just looking for a product—they’re seeking an experience and a connection to the ethos of the brand. Here are a few characteristics that would make someone an ideal fit:
1. Conscious Consumer
The ideal client is someone who is thoughtful about their purchases, aware of the impact their buying choices have on the planet, and values sustainability. They appreciate craftsmanship and are drawn to the idea of owning something that is unique, made with care, and built to last—not just something that follows the latest trend. Sustainability isn’t a “nice-to-have” for them; it’s a core value that aligns with how they approach the world.
2. Appreciates Artistry and Craftsmanship
They are drawn to pieces that tell a story, and they want to own something that feels special and timeless. Whether it’s the hand-marbled eco-dyeing, the luxurious thermal fabrics, or the attention to detail in design, they value artistry and craftsmanship over mass production. They want to feel a connection to the product, knowing that it was created with intention and skill.
3. Values Unique, Elevated Style
The ideal client isn’t afraid to stand out and embraces individuality. They have a refined sense of style that is more about personal expression than following trends. They are confident in choosing pieces that are distinctive, elegant, and have that perfect balance of luxury and comfort. They understand that style is a reflection of who they are and they want their wardrobe to make a statement—without sacrificing ethics or sustainability.
4. Supports Independent, Purpose-Driven Brands
They appreciate supporting brands that align with their values. They resonate with the mission of PAIGELAUREN, whether it’s in the pursuit of ethical fashion, environmental stewardship, or social impact. They understand the importance of supporting independent businesses that are making a positive difference and value the authenticity that comes with working with smaller, purpose-driven companies.
5. Has an Eye for Detail and Quality
They are someone who notices the small things—the texture of the fabric, the precision of the stitching, and the unique design elements that make a piece stand out. For them, quality matters. They would rather invest in a few carefully chosen pieces that will last for years than buy into disposable, fast-fashion cycles.
In short, my ideal client is someone who is intentional, conscious, and discerning—someone who wants to make thoughtful choices in every aspect of their life, including their wardrobe. They value pieces that are not just aesthetically beautiful, but also deeply rooted in purpose, sustainability, and artistry. They want to be part of a movement toward more ethical, meaningful fashion—and they want to wear that commitment every day.
