We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paley & Erik Carmona. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paley & Erik below.
Hi Paley & Erik, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
The most important factor to us finding our purpose is the support we have from our customers, friends, and above all family. We wouldn’t be here without the major support we have gotten.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We own a chamoy business in Kansas City. We sell chamoy, chamoy candies and agua frescas. We do pop-up events and finished last year with 55 events done in less than 8 months. We started shipping out to the whole country mid-last year. and have had the pleasure of shipping to over 30 states so far. We have also been able to get into over 10 restaurants ranging from KS-MO-CA.
We have never felt so pleased with the support we have gotten from everyone. What sets us apart is everything. From the smallest thing in a different logo/color scheme. But also with the smiles and happy faces, we give people when we present our product. It was not something that happened overnight. And although we feel like it’s been a tornado of success we have been blessed to be as far as we are. We are forever grateful for everything and everyone.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I can easily say it’s dedication, motivation, and freedom. You have to be dedicated to your dream. You have to be motivated to do something that no one else is going to do for you. If you truly want freedom, you will do the 1st 2 things and push as hard as you can. Once you think you pushed too hard you have to go past that. It’s the hardest thing you will do in this world, but man is it worth it. We have so much more to keep going. But that’s the freedom of it all. It’s ours and we couldn’t be any happier.
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Currently, right now we are facing a world that is recovering from a pandemic. We are working on still getting out there. But people know who we are. They LOVE us just as much as we LOVE them. We also have the challenge of this being a competitive market. But with small changes, we are sticking out as different.
