Hi Pamela, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Younger me did not know what I wanted to be in life. I was stuck, in just working 8,9 or even more with a minimum salary. Until I became a mom for the firs time my whole life change for better. Having my fist son made me realize I need to do something that would have me spent time with him and have some income. Realizing photography was there for me all this time. I just never thought I would become a photographer. So yes, my son was my purpose in life he was the reason for this journey of mine.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Pam G Photography is a small business that started on 2019. It all started when I had my first son. He was my inspiration to photography. My husband gifted me my first camera, not knowing how to use one at all. I started learning by watching videos and practicing. I would always tell my self “practice makes perfect”, and it sure did. I love capturing peoples most precious memories. I mostly focus on portraits, cake smash, and also small events.
Im a stay at home mom, so sometimes is hard for me to make as much time as I want for my business. Weekends are mostly for my photography. Its easies for me since my husband is able to help me with out now two boys. My husband is my biggest supporter, we work as a team.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I come from a hard working family. Both of my parents are hard workers but my mom she’s the definition of a hustler. She has thought me to always follow my dreams even thought she didn’t have a chance to follow hers. I felt confident of what I was doing since the beginning. I’m comfortable talking to my customers. Im a very social person. I also love learning from other photographer’s.
My advice is to go for it, because you never know what can happen. The worst that can happen is failing, but at least you tried, and if you succed keep on going. Hard work pays of sooner or later.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful my parents did for me was coming to the USA. Mexico is a beautiful country, but USA changed my life in a much better way. I had the opportunity to go to school here, learned English. As an immigrant its hard to have opportunities but as they say ” good things come for those who wait” it took a while and discovered photography. Both of my parents have worked so much for my siblings and I. In our family God has been our number one priority. My Parents always tell me to always put God first in our everyday lives.
Will for ever be thankful, for the better life my parents gave me.
