Meet Paris Gray

We recently connected with Paris Gray and have shared our conversation below.

Paris, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from the challenges I’ve faced and the strength I’ve had to find within myself. In less than a year and a half, I lost my 13-year career, my boyfriend to COVID, and was physically assaulted by a business partner’s husband. It felt like life hit me from every direction, but I refused to let those moments break me. Instead, I chose to grow, heal, and rebuild—turning my pain into purpose.

My journey taught me that resilience isn’t about avoiding hardship; it’s about facing it head-on and finding the courage to keep moving forward. I’m inspired by my daughter every day, and I use my experiences to help others find their own strength, confidence, and purpose, no matter how tough life gets.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My journey is deeply personal. Hardships lit a fire in me to rebuild, not just for myself, but to help others do the same. That’s how my journey as a confidence coach and insurance advocate was born.

Empowering people to rediscover their strengths, rebuild their self-belief, and live boldly, by role modeling the behavior through living dramatically out loud. I know what it’s like to feel broken, and I’ve learned that confidence isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up as your authentic self and taking the next step, no matter how hard it feels. Refill to pour again is a reminder and moto I say often.

I’m dedicated on helping families secure their futures through insurance. After my own experience of going from overinsured to underinsured, I realized how important it is to educate people on protecting their loved ones. Whether it’s life insurance, health plans, or senior care, I’m here to simplify the process and make sure no family is left vulnerable.
What excites me most is blending empowerment with protection. It’s about building confidence while securing peace of mind—helping people feel strong in their lives and safe in their futures.

Right now, I’m expanding my reach through workshops, educational seminars, and personalized consultations to help more individuals and families take control of their lives. I’m also working on events that combine personal growth with practical tools, so people leave feeling both inspired and prepared.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, adaptability, and empathy.

1. Resilience: Life has thrown some heavy challenges my way, from losing my career and my boyfriend to COVID, to experiencing a traumatic assault. Resilience helped me keep going even when it felt impossible. For anyone starting their journey, know that resilience isn’t about never breaking—it’s about finding the strength to rise, one step at a time. You can build it by embracing challenges as opportunities for growth and leaning on your support system when needed.

2. Adaptability: Life rarely goes as planned, and learning to pivot has been key to rebuilding my career and life. Losing my corporate job led me to start over in the insurance world, where I found a new way to help others. If you’re starting out, practice being flexible. When things don’t work out, ask yourself, “What’s the next step I can take?” Change can be intimidating, but it’s often where we find our greatest growth.

3. Empathy: Experiencing deep loss and trauma taught me the importance of truly connecting with others. It’s allowed me to understand people’s needs better—whether it’s guiding someone to rebuild their confidence or helping a family protect their future. To develop empathy, focus on listening without judgment and trying to see the world through someone else’s eyes. Real connections come from understanding, and empathy will open doors for you both personally and professionally. My advice? Be patient with yourself, stay open to unexpected paths, and don’t hesitate to ask for help. Growth looks different for everyone, but every experience we face shapes us into who we’re meant to be.
