Meet Pascale Sylvain

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Pascale Sylvain a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Pascale with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

my dad always had a good work ethic- you do what you have to work on till its done

I came to America 10 years ago to learn about my fist passion, barrel racing/rodeo
many challenge, like everyone, make me who I am to day,
I want to rodeo, and already do, in the biggest level, PRCA/WPRA
I am just an average girl with not so much skill, but I can out work people,
I build a handcrafted jewelry business from the ground.
now got 14 employees, 6 experts, more then 8000 people register on my wholesale website and more the 1.1M dollars this year
all our jewelry from bijoux fab are handmade in texas
its a journey for sure by itself
I study psychology (psychoeducation, but yall dont have this bachelor here in USA) and give up everything after 3 years of workin in my line or work to come chase my dreams, or at least try it and see if its what I want
texas its my home, im a newer citizen of America now, and I am so proud of my journey, I never though all this would be possible
my purpose, show the world that everything is possible if you work very hard at it and show up every day !
I am not scare to lay down 16 hours work on my business if I have to bc I know this will give me my freedom to go rodeo all over the USA when my time come

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am focusing on 2 things
– my jewelry business
so I can go – rodeo !

Rodeo wise, if you guys are familiar with rodeo, I already get my permit full and done with my rookie year, I was able to attend adn qualify to all final permit offer (WPRA permit final short go, PRCA permit final qualifier) and I also attend the Rookie round up) im super proud of all those as when I bought my gray horse, Devon, my goals was never to even rodeo. he give me this dreams in my heart and now this is all I want to do, I want to show people if I can do it everyone can, I do have a few followers about this aspects of my life
but rodeoing its extremely expensive, its why many years of my hard work on THE BIJOUX FAB come up, I worked day and night for a good 2-3 years, remind you I dont have family year, I got nothing, I focus every single day on this business to make it what it is now, now we got 8000 store register on our wholesale website, as a immigrant, I am so proud to offer a products made in the USA, and also hire 14 women that make our jewelry, we also hire 6 different professionals to help to get this business going !
I have zero back group in marketing
as mention I study in psychology, I started first I would said as an artist, now even If I buy the beads myself, create the designs, I transform myself as a business women, and I love every single part of my life

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

– I show up every single day
– I never let nobody tell me what I can or cant do- I trully believe we are capable of so much greater thing that we been told
– you attitude its everything, life will give you lemon – its life! its all about how you react about it and use it and maybe even get a lesson out of it

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

in the past year, I would said what make the bijoux fab step up A LOT would be I hire the right people and I am not scare to us real professional so I can focus on different aspect on my business
and this apply also on my rodeo career as I go get lesson weekly with professional to get better
I think the mean thing to remember in this section is :
DONT BE SCARE to be teachable
seek help
go learn
admit you are not perfect and go learn instead to be stoburn (this was me)
and I grow so much more since I do this
