Meet Pastor Edward “busta” Fields

We were lucky to catch up with Pastor Edward “busta” Fields recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Pastor Edward “Busta” , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my mother. My mother was a jack of ball tree it’s having the ability to do any and everything multiple degrees multiple business businesses Mother administrator successful in corporate America also wow successfully doing a lot of things in ministry so I get a lot of my drive and work ethic from her.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Greetings! My name is Pastor Edward Buster Fields, and I proudly serve as the senior pastor of the Ambassador Seat of Love Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to my pastoral duties, I am a national gospel recording artist and the CEO of the Karl Washington Community Center. I also have the honor of directing the Temple University Gospel Choir and overseeing the AAT auxiliary within the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Furthermore, I founded the New Year’s Eve Fellowship Gathering. My passion lies in community, and I cherish the opportunity to connect with my congregation and the people around me.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My greatest strengths include creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to create relevant content that resonates with diverse audiences. For those who are just starting to make a significant impact in their field, my advice is simple: stay humble and focused. Seek guidance from God and pray about every decision you make. It’s essential to jot down the insights and ideas that come to you, as God is instilling them in your spirit for a purpose—to use you as a vessel to bring these visions to life in the world.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of humility; it has been a key factor in opening doors for me. Additionally, be a team player. Collaborate with others, give everyone a fair chance, and be open to listening. Embrace constructive criticism, as it can be invaluable for your growth. By practicing these principles, you will be well-equipped to sustain your momentum and continue on your path to success.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My mother has been my greatest support, guiding, training, and shaping me into the person I am today. I owe so much of who I am to her, as well as to my former pastor, Bishop Karl Washington. He played a pivotal role in nurturing my musical ministry, and I am deeply grateful for his influence. I attribute much of my success, intellect, and the way I think and operate to my mother, Wilfredia Fields, and my late uncle, Bishop Karl Washington. Their teachings and support have been instrumental in my journey.
