We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Patrice Hudson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Patrice , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep my creativity alive by keeping my inner child happy. My creativity flows by doing things that I love no matter if it’s a trend or not.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a serial entrepreneur. I started my entrepreneurship lifestyle in 2020 when I lost my job due to the pandemic I never thought that I would lose my job, but when I did it sparked my creativity to start my own business. I would like to thank my old job for pushing me forward. I love to make people smile and make spaces pretty. Memories are a major thing you’ll experience with us.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Developing self-love skills is crucial. If you want to start your own business, never take no for an answer and if someone gives you a no, you continue to look for that yes. Always believe in yourself no matter what. Developing time management skills is crucial if you want to start your own business.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
I would recommend anyone and everyone to read this book called all about love by Bell Hooks she recently passed and that book will change your life.
