Meet Patrice Simpson

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Patrice Simpson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Patrice, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My grit. The need to leave a solid legacy behind. Understanding that life is short and it is my duty to make the moments count. My resilience comes from remembering days when all I wanted was one chance to show my true talent and how much greatness I have to offer to the world.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m an author and entrepreneur. I operate a virtual writing service. I recently graduated from a digital entrepreneurship course and I used the knowledge I gained from the course to help my son create his first book, “Color and Learn”. I currently have three books and a journal available on Amazon. I love what I do and I will continue to grow!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My ability to adapt, my persistence and my passion. Everyday won’t be the same but you should always have a game plan. A plan a, b, c and all the other letters of the alphabet lol. Keep at it, even when the bad days come.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

I pause. I take a break or go on a mini vacation if I can afford it. If that’s not the case, I listen to music. Sometimes the simplest things can bring us the greatest peace.
