Hi Patricia, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

By finding the things I wanted to learn and using my time, money and energy to explore them and here are some examples! I have traveled extensively to learn new skills! I have a 3rd degree black belt in Ninjisu and my husband has his 4th degree black belt because we traveled 2 hours one way twice a week to study the Martial Art of Ninjutsu for 15 years in Dayton Ohio with Steven Hayes and Rumiko Hayes.

I have my private pilot license because I took the time and spent my money learning to fly on weekends and after work in the evenings.

I started the Cosmic Mysteries School by traveling to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, France, Peru and in the USA to study with wisdom elders and visit sacred sites that held energy and wisdom! I studied indigenous healing in Minnesota with Chi Gung Master Chunyi Lin for many years to Learn Spring Forest Chi Gong. I traveled to Mexico to learn Mayan healing from Mayan Fire Priestesses, such as Maria Vergara. I went to California to learn Polarity Therapy at the Alive Polarity Fellowship . I went to Bali to learn indigenous Balinese Healing.
I went to Northern Ohio to learn Fire Walking with Cherokee elder Pa Rhis H’a. I went to Michigan to study The use of Inipis (sweat lodge) and making medicine shields from Iroquois Medicine woman Amy Lee in Hawk Hallow Ohio. I learned the use of Star Language I already transmitted with Lakota Chief Golden Light Eagle. I learned Mayan ceremony and healing from Mayan Elder Hunbatz Men.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

The Cosmic Mysteries School is the center of my life! The rest of my life revolves around the Cosmic Mysteries School. My husband Daniel Cardona and I started the Cosmic Mysteries School in 1996 after we were initiated into Mayan Science and Religion by Solar Mayan Elder Hunbatz Men in Mexico. Dan and I had been studying the Maya since our first exposure to the powerful energy of the ancient Mayan temples of Chichen Itza in 1991. Our fascination with the Maya came upon us immediately during our visit to the ancient Mayan temples of Chichen Itza. As we explored the temples of Chichen Itza, we found ourselves going from temple to temple eagerly absorbing every image of the Maya carved into the temples and climbing every pyramid and meditating at the top of the pyramid, trying to absorb and understand this fascinating ancient civilization!
Going to Mexico in the winter of 1991 was the first vacation together for Dan and me. It was very cold and snowy in Michigan and we wanted to go someplace warm with lots of sunshine! The travel agent I spoke to at the time suggested we go to Cancun, Mexico. The travel agent sold me an amazing vacation on the Maya Riviera, which included airfare and four nights in a brand new Hyatt hotel, next to the ocean! The sound of the waves crashing on shore filled my dreams prior to the trip! I couldn’t wait to taste the amazing Mexican breakfasts of fresh fruit, eggs to order, Mexican dishes and wonderful desserts like Tres Leeche Cake and Flan!

At this time in my life, I did not know anything about the pyramids in Mexico nor the Mayan culture that had created them! Just before our trip as I sat in meditation, I saw Dan lying on top of a Mayan calendar in a spread Eagle pose whisking away into the distance! I was immediately taken into a past life regression! In the regression I arrived in Mexico, seeing Dan dressed as a Mayan priest, standing on a pyramid! He had a feathered headdress and a jaguar skin outfit quite brief and he was incredibly handsome! I knew if he was there I must be there too, and I saw myself walking out of a doorway at the top of the pyramid. We joined hands and walked together into the pyramid and knelt down at the altar. That was the end of the vision. I was so surprised I didn’t have any idea what a Mayan priest looked like or what they wore. I spoke to a friend of mine and she brought over a book showing the images the Maya had left of their priests and ceremonies, and sure enough that Mayan priests were dressed the same as Dan was in my vision. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that once we visited the Mayan pyramids in this lifetime, we were fascinated and had to explore further and further into that reality.

Dan and I studied every book and went on trip after trip to many Mayan pyramid sites in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras. We read everything we could about the Maya and finally read a book written by Mayan elder Hunbatz Men in 1995 entitled, “Mayan Science and Religion,” by Hunbatz Men. Dan wrote to Hunbatz Men and told him how much we wanted to learn more about Mayan science and religion. We could tell that this book by Hunbatz Men was the first truth we’d ever read about the Maya! Much to our delight within a couple of months. Hunbatz Men wrote back inviting us to come to Mexico to be initiated in March 1996! I remember our receiving the letter and it was addressed to Solar Brother Daniel! We were thrilled and of course, signed up to go to Mexico and be initiated by Mayan elder Hunbatz Men! Little did we know how our life would change from this point forward!

Meeting Hunbatz Men and being initiated by him in Mexico in 1996 was a life-changing experience! In all the trips we made to the Maya lands over the five years prior to meeting Hunbatz Men we were thrilled and excited while we were on our sacred journeys! But once we returned to the United States, our lives felt very shallow and white bread and we longed to go back to the Mayan lands. Once we were initiated by Hunbatz Men in ceremony at a sacred Maya pyramid site we never felt lonely again for the Maya lands. We had reconnected in ceremony to our star elders, and we never felt lonely again.

We studied with Hunbatz Men for 20 years. We took groups to Mexico with us to learn from him and we had him come to our school in the United States to teach many times. At the end of our first trip meeting him in 1996. He asked us to start our school in the United States, so that we could carry on his teachings and all the other teachings of sacred wisdom that we learned and from any elders and any other paths of healing and higher consciousness. So, we started the Cosmic Mysteries School immediately! We called it the Cosmic Mysteries School because we were working to regain our cosmic knowledge, all the amazing lifetimes and memories that we had of who we really were, why we came into this life and how we could help here on Mother Earth. All those memories and visions were out there and we had to bring them back inside of us to remember them and share them with others! Hunbatz Men always said when he was speaking to a group of people “I’m so happy to see you again.” He knew very well that we had all been together in other life times doing the same work together to raise the consciousness of the world and return to Cosmic wisdom!

Over the many years that we studied with and helped Hunbatz Men we created products of his teachings to share with others. We stood in the blazing sun in Mexico, filming his teachings at the various sacred temples. We made DVDs so others could learn from his teachings too. He had many articles he had written over the years of Mayan education, and we collected all his writings and put them into books, including pictures and diagrams as another avenue to record his teachings and share them with others.

Hunbatz Men was taught from the age of six by his Mayan elders so that he could take on this role of day keeper and Mayan Priest. A vision he had at one time when he was only a teenager follows. He saw himself in a room filled with Crystal Skulls. This vision came true over the years as he was given a very special ancient Crystal skull from Tibet. He named it NAGAKU. In 2009 his vision of being in a room filled with Crystal Skulls came true. He was invited to present at a Crystal skull conference in Arizona. The room was filled with Crystal Skulls and those selling Crystal Skulls and participants learning about Crystal Skulls Hunbatz Men was the first and main speaker. He came to teach Mayan wisdom and he brought with him a codex of the Maya that he had received long ago. We had a very beautiful ceremony. He had prepared the Codex and other teachings in a very sacred manner at his table of presentation. As a Mayan fire priestess I assisted him in the preparations. He organized seven other Crystal Skull guardians who were presenters with their Crystal Skulls in a procession to come into the room. Dan was drumming and I was burning Copal to cleanse the way and clear the way for the presentation. Once we got into the room, Hunbatz Men had the Crystal skull guardians stand behind the table as he lined up their Crystal Skulls around his Crystal Skull NAGAKU! He proceeded with ceremony calling in the higher beings of the Maya and clearing the energy of the skulls and the crowd with his bone whistle. With our sacred Copal smudge of the Maya. We cleaned the air and the participants and the crowd of people. The ceremony was beautiful and the energy of the room transformed into higher frequencies.

Once the ceremony was complete Hunbatz had us present the Mayan Codex to the Crystal Skulls before he had us present it to the guardians or to the audience. When we presented the beautiful Codex to the Crystal Skulls, the most amazing thing happened! I literally saw the Mayan glyphs fly off of the codes and go into the Crystal Skulls! Hunbatz always said that the Crystal schools could hold more memory than any of our brains or any of our minds and I saw the Maya Glyphs go into those Crystal Skulls! I did not see the same phenomenon when we presented the codex to the crystal skull guardians or to the audience!

Over the years, I saw many amazing things happen while in ceremony with Hunbatz Men. I saw little fishes jump out of the water as soon as he began chanting or blowing his whistle at a sacred cenote, I saw a swarm of bees fly over an opening ceremony, I heard many doves, singing the name of the Maya God Hunab K’u, and the very last time we were in ceremony with Hunbatz Men in 2016 in Mexico, I thought we were going to be trampled by a flock of turkeys who couldn’t wait to come into the ceremony! We heard them as soon as the ceremony started and they were coming closer and getting louder and louder and louder, but in the end, they never did actually enter into the ceremony. So in the end were they a flock of turkeys or spirit?

Another amazing experience we had in our first time of initiation into Mayan science, and religion was at a sacred site called Becan. We had gotten up at 3 AM to drive two hours to Becan to be there before sunrise and share our ceremony with the rising sun! Becan had a particular Stella that the sun would rest upon as it rose in the sky. But when we got to the ceremonial site of Becan the sky was completely overcast. We had come to greet the sun and we thought we were not going to see it. But Maya. Elder Hunbatz Men was not going to let that happen! He told all of us to start shaking our seedpod rattles and chanting a chant to the sun. We did this for at least 30 minutes. It may have been longer. I was amazed that my arm was still able to swing and shake the rattle. Then suddenly after a very long time of swinging the rattles and chanting the sky was completely clear! Just before the sun rose the sky was completely clear! It wasn’t like a gradual clearing of any kind it was sudden and instantaneous! The sky was clear! We all gasped in amazement! We performed our ceremony as the sun resting on the Stella on the pyramid of Becan!
Hunbatz Men said to all of us after we had finished the ceremony, “Remember this moment, remember you did this, there’s nothing that you cannot do!” When I talked to Dan and the rest of the participants in the ceremony, we all had the same experience. The sky was overcast and suddenly it was completely clear! I remember this often when I am trying to complete something that at first seems impossible!

The Mayan education we experienced into the miraculous was extensive and lasted for 20 years as we studied with Hunbatz Men, until his passing in September of 2016.

In November of 2016 I was called to Mexico by Hunbatz Men’s son Cesar, to receive his Tibetan Crystal Skull NAGAKU and his sastun his sacred healing and power crystal! I knew that I was receiving NAGAKU and I had come prepared with a special plastic case to bring him safely home. But I did not know I was to receive Hunbatz Mens Sastun! In fact I had never seen it, only heard Hunbatz talk about it and once saw a picture of it. So, I was completely surprised when Cesar told me I was receiving the Sastun! He told me to hold out my hand and he placed it into my hand. He told me never to let anyone else touch the Sadtun! The energy was so powerful that transferred into me at that moment that I almost fainted. Next he handed me NAGAKU and the energy was complete. The transmission had occurred and I was the caretaker of this powerful energy!

Our students have had many amazing and powerful experiences and wisdom teachings with the Cosmic Mysteries School in the 29 years we have been teaching at our school and taking students to sacred sites around the world. We love sharing our knowledge and helping others heal and grow into Cosmic Consciousness!
Over the years serving as a fire priestess and a healer to so many people, my relationship with nature and the elementals has continued to grow. So, the sun listens to me and my request when I ask it to appear in the sky and clear the clouds away. The living landscape around me recognizes me and wherever I am responds to my love and care in my ceremonies! My Love brings a response from the sun, the wind, the rain, all the elementals, gather and show that they’re appreciative and listening and watching!

In a recent trip to Peru working with our Peruvian elder, we performed ceremony at Amuru an amazing portal and doorway in Peru! The portal the Incas took the sun disc through to keep it out of the Spaniards hands! We did traditional ceremony there, and immediately the sun blazed down upon us from a cloudy sky and large drops of rain fell on us very briefly cleansing us during our ceremony! It was so beautiful and so full of love and caring that the guardian of the site held my hands after the ceremony and kissed my cheek. I was so surprised. I didn’t even know he was aware of our ceremony, but true hearts of love joined together in our thank you to the gods!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Being completely passionate about what I am learning and an egerness to learn as much as I possibly can.

2. Having no limit to the possibilites of what can be learned or acheived beyond my present knowledge. and understanding.

3. Taking chances and spending the money and time and whatever was required to participate in ongoing spiritual adventures sharing and teaching others what I have learned and how I learned it.

For those early in their spiritual development find a teacher you respect and learn from them.
Visit sacred sites in your area and around the world.
Develop your own sacred space in your home where you have an altar and say prayers focused on Love and Light and bring in your star elders of Love and Light to help you.
