Meet Patricia Lauriet

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Patricia Lauriet. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Patricia below.

Patricia, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Patricia Lauriet is best known for her role of superhero Wendy Abeyta in the Sci-fi Thriller “The Boom Boom Girls of Wrestling” screened in Regal Theaters World, and from Director Sam Mendes’ film “Jarhead” in the role of a Flight Attendant working alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx, Universal Pictures.

I think God gives us all unique talents and a mission for this life, and as for me I always loved dance and music, and started training at an early age, and continue to train still today because that’s what I love. My first stage performance was at age 4 in the musical “The Book of Knowledge.” I grew up in Perth Amboy, N.J. and was impacted by seeing the Rockettes and said that’s what I want to do, and that’s what I’ve done as an Artist, performing on numerous stages and television in Hollywood and Miami, making music and working as an Actress in the Film Industry. You have to listen to your soul, and mine drove me to pursuing my life career in the Entertainment Industry. Many people try to dissuade you and tell you to pick something real, but I listened to my passion and not people, because at the end of the day you have to make yourself happy and my happiest place is on set, stage, creating a new song in the studio, or writing a new script. You have to keep going through all the obstacles, especially this last one with covid, the Actor’s strike, and you can’t wait on a part to come to you. You have to create your own work. There are ups and downs in my field, and when I do my audition I go into it as I’m already cast and I’m shooting today. When I’m done I contributed my art, my best self, and I let it go and on to the next picture. Pursuing my career in Hollywood, I learned a lot. Sometimes Hollywood gets a bad rap, but there are really good Creators and people there, unlike how the media stereo-types Hollywood as an evil place. It’s not. There are many opportunities, and it’s about surrounding yourself with liked minded Artists no matter which city. If the project is good, go! When I read a script for consideration now, I look at the message, and how I can best contribute to this story and make a positive difference in this world. As for my music side, I am more careful who I work with, and I am stronger for all I under went which has made me the strong Artist-Actor that I am today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Presently, I am actively producing Sci-Fi, Full-feature film Trilogy that I wrote “The Colony: The Rim of the Sun.” These projects mean a lot to me that I hope to bring to the screen soon. “The Colony: The Rim of the Sun” addresses where man comes from, as well as touches on the human condition in times of war, and on love our greatest power in life. On my Acting front, this year I was so grateful to Director Gabriel Rhenals for casting me as Dr. Peak in his Full-Feature film, “Death Cleaning” during the Actor’s strike. Gabriel got the film SAG approved so felt very fortunate to be working in what I love. In the role I play as Dr. Peak, she contributes to the film’s message in trying to help stop drug addiction before it’s too late. The film’s focus on the destruction of one’s life due to drugs, and how it affects families and society, and I’m so humbled to have contributed towards drug awareness through this film. What excites me is working with certain Actors I still aspire to work with such as Brad Pitt, I love Sci-Fi pieces and period pieces. I was recently in London on a business trip, and I’m hoping to Act on a project there soon. I think the positive thing that came out of covid was streaming that opened up the world to new cultures, and seeing the beauty in all humanity and how similar we all are. As for my music, I am rehearsing to perform soon, and on making new music.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three areas of knowledge of advice I could give is one, Be who you want to be in this moment right now. Truly see yourself walking that path.

Secondly, rehearse and practice as much as you can being the you, you want to be.

Thirdly, take action towards your dreams daily. Don’t listen to those who tell you no. Be strong. Keep going. It is a life journey, and it’s your life. You do it because it’s who you are.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
As for a Film producing collaboration, I am currently working on completing the funding for “The Colony: The Rim of the Sun” with partners that would like to impact and contribute to the world an everlasting beautiful picture that touches the heart. This monumental Film would be for world-wide release, theaters, streaming, products, toys, and attraction ride. I am interested in working with Disney Pictures and Plan B on this. goldenlaurietentertainment@gmail.com
