Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patricia Silverio. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
PATRICIA, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from a deep-rooted belief in my purpose and a genuine passion for what I do. As a destination wedding photographer, I’ve learned that every challenge is an opportunity for growth and that each wedding is not just about capturing beautiful moments but about telling a unique love story. Having an incredible support system around me, like my amazing assistant Maryjein, and the belief that I’m helping others document one of the most important days of their lives, keeps me motivated. At the same time, my faith and the incredible people who encourage me every step of the way play a huge role in keeping me grounded. The journey of building Patricia Silverio.co is not always easy, but knowing that I’m on the path that aligns with my passion and values gives me the strength to keep pushing forward.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Patricia Silverio, the founder and photographer behind Patricia Silverio.co, a destination wedding photography brand that blends editorial artistry with heartfelt storytelling. As a wedding photographer based in Orlando, Florida, my passion lies in capturing authentic, intimate moments while bringing a touch of luxury and creativity to each story I tell.
What I love most about my work is the connection I build with each couple learning about their journey, their love, and their vision for their big day. Every wedding I photograph is a unique reflection of the couple’s personalities, and my job is to make sure that the moments, emotions, and details are perfectly captured. I work with my clients to craft images that are not just beautiful but meaningful and personal to them. It’s that blend of artistry and storytelling that makes my work special.
Professionally, I’m focused on expanding my reach as a destination wedding photographer, capturing love stories in stunning locations like Italy, New York, and Spain. I am passionate about creating a luxury experience for my clients from start to finish—whether it’s through the way I approach photography or the tailored services I offer.
Currently, I’m excited to be expanding my business by offering more personalized services, such as styling consultations, mood boards for couples, and extended editorial photography packages. I’m also launching new wedding photography packages designed for the modern couple who desires timeless, elegant imagery.
With a strong foundation in fashion photography and a passion for creating personalized experiences, I’m driven to grow as a creator and connect with more couples who share my love for beauty and storytelling. Every new inquiry and opportunity to create something magical fuels my excitement for what’s ahead!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are **resilience**, **creativity**, and **connection**.
1. Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks has been essential. As a business owner, I’ve faced challenges that ranged from difficult clients to moments of self-doubt, but my passion for what I do and the belief in my mission kept me going. For those just starting out, I would advise them to embrace failure as part of the learning process. Each obstacle is an opportunity to grow and refine your skills. Stay grounded in your purpose, and don’t let setbacks define your journey. Keep pushing forward, even when things feel tough.
2. Creativity: Being a wedding photographer, creativity has played a central role in differentiating myself in a competitive industry. It’s not just about capturing beautiful images; it’s about telling a compelling story through the lens. If you’re just starting, I suggest constantly practicing and experimenting with your craft. Don’t be afraid to take risks or push boundaries. The more you try new things, the clearer your style will become, and it will set you apart from others.
3. Connection: Building meaningful relationships with clients has been key to my success. Every couple I work with has a unique story, and forming a connection with them allows me to understand their vision and make the experience more personal and fulfilling. If you’re new to the industry, focus on building genuine relationships with your clients or community. Whether it’s through networking, engaging on social media, or simply listening to their needs, connection builds trust and loyalty.
For those starting their journey, my best advice would be to focus on developing these three qualities, don’t rush the process. Be patient with yourself, be authentic in your relationships, and stay true to your vision. The journey may not be easy, but with resilience, creativity, and connection, you’ll build a strong foundation that will carry you through any challenge.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is someone who values authenticity, creativity, and personalization. As a destination wedding photographer, I thrive when working with couples who are not only passionate about their love story but also appreciate the artistry behind photography. I love to connect with clients who want their wedding day to feel unique and meaningful, and who see photography as a way to tell that story in a timeless, elegant way.
The ideal client for me is someone who embraces the journey, whether that means taking time to personalize their photos or being open to creative ideas that make their day stand out. They trust me to capture the essence of their relationship raw emotions, meaningful moments, and even the smallest details that make their wedding day unforgettable.
These couples tend to appreciate the luxury experience, not just in the images but in the entire process from the consultation and planning to the way I create a seamless experience on their wedding day. They want to create memories that aren’t just beautiful, but also reflective of who they are as a couple.
In terms of characteristics, my ideal client is someone who is communicative, open to collaboration, and values the investment in high-quality photography that will last a lifetime. They are usually dreamers people who are inspired by different cultures, love traveling, and want their wedding day to reflect that. Whether they’re planning a destination wedding in Italy, Spain, or a local ceremony in Florida, they want something that feels as special and unique as their relationship.
At the end of the day, I want to work with couples who trust me to create something truly unforgettable for them because their wedding day is one of the most meaningful chapters of their love story, and I want to capture it in a way that feels timeless and true.
