Meet Patrick Henry

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patrick Henry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Patrick, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My father, I grew up seeing him do scaffolding, welding, plumbing and electrical all while being a pastor and working a farm. So hard work has been regular to me

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I do mostly trompe loeil 3D paintings. I use mixed media, oil and acrylic on canvas and mainly wood.
It excites me to show people my perspectives of everyday life of where I live or where I’ve been around the world.
I’m the 2025 poster artist for festival international in Lafayette LA and I’ll be showing there and the New Orleans Jazzfest this year also.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Learning painting techniques
Learning Carpentry and woodworking
Learning Sculpture
I’m always a student of my craft so I’m always researching and seeking new inspiration and that’s what I would advise anyone to do.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes im looking to collaborate with marketing professionals. I’m always a man behind the scenes so it would be of good benefit to have someone to assist and show me the ropes in marketing, which I think I lack.
