We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Patrick Nesbitt a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Patrick, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
Failure is one of the biggest teachers/ Lessons the dissatisfaction and unwanted feeling you experience will cause you, to improve your skills which is where taking risk comes into play. In Todays generation we would classify failures as taking an “L” and if your willing to take a few L’s just to reach your goal that’s what taking a risk is in my book.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Well I would like to describe myself as independent, simply because of my “oldest Child” Role growing up my mom instilled honestly, morals, respect & pride into all of her children without her grooming and love we wouldn’t be the people we are today. Professionally I’m focused on giving my clients the highest luxury in service and delivery when it comes to my catering & events business, organization and speed. Doing my job as a private chef makes me so excited to hear feedback from my clients because I’m very humble and know that there is always room for improvement.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would tell anyone who is early in their journey to ofcourse put God First, stay very patient and consistent in your craft you just never know when that one post or flyer would go way beyond your region reaching a huge audience and always maintain a positive attitude exercise manners and respect that can take you further than someone with a degree in most cases it’s just a really good quality to have as a person.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When feeling overwhelmed me personally prayer changes things outside of that keep in the back of your head that the battle would be over came eventually no matter how tough it gets in that time just remember the day has to end and so as the situation.
