Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patris Kirakosian. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Patris, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do. In the culinary world, creativity comes from experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentation — and that mindset naturally carried over into my espresso catering business. I keep my creativity alive by staying curious: I love exploring new ingredients, brewing techniques, and ways to elevate the experience for my clients.
I also draw inspiration from everyday moments — visiting local markets, traveling, or even collaborating with other professionals in the food and beverage industry. When I start to feel stuck, I go back to the basics: taste, smell, and the joy of creating something that connects people. That passion keeps my ideas fresh and my creativity flowing.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
After spending over 12 years working as a chef in professional kitchens, I wanted to bring that same level of creativity, craft, and hospitality to a more personal setting — and that’s how my espresso catering company was born. We specialize in creating elevated coffee experiences for events, where guests can enjoy handcrafted espresso drinks made fresh on-site.
What excites me most is the connection — coffee has this incredible way of bringing people together, and I love being part of those memorable moments, whether it’s a wedding, corporate gathering, or community event. I get to combine my culinary background with my passion for coffee and service, turning a simple cup into an experience.
Our brand is all about quality, creativity, and care. Every detail matters — from the beans we source to the design of our setup. Lately, we’ve been expanding into more custom experiences, like signature drink menus for events and collaborations with local roasters. It’s been amazing to watch it grow and evolve, and I’m excited to keep finding new ways to surprise and delight our clients.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been adaptability, curiosity, and perseverance.
Adaptability was key. The culinary world teaches you to think on your feet — plans change, ingredients run out, and you still have to deliver excellence. That mindset helped me tremendously when I started my espresso catering company. Every event is different, and being able to adjust quickly keeps things running smoothly.
Curiosity has always driven my creativity. Whether it was experimenting with new flavors as a chef or learning about different coffee origins and brewing methods, staying curious keeps my work fresh and exciting. I’d encourage anyone starting out to never stop learning — take classes, read, taste, and talk to people who inspire you.
Finally, perseverance. Building something from the ground up takes time, and there will always be challenges. What matters is pushing through, staying consistent, and trusting the process. Progress doesn’t always happen overnight, but every small step adds up.
My advice for anyone early in their journey is to stay open-minded, keep learning, and don’t be afraid of the messy parts of growth — that’s where the real learning happens.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is someone who values quality, connection, and experience. They’re not just looking for coffee service — they want something memorable and personal for their guests. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or private gathering, they appreciate the little details — the craftsmanship that goes into every drink, the presentation, and the warm, welcoming energy we bring to each event.
I love working with clients who are creative and collaborative — people who get excited about designing a custom menu, or who want to highlight local ingredients and unique flavors. Those partnerships always lead to the most special experiences.
Ultimately, my ideal clients share a love for hospitality. They understand that a great cup of coffee can do more than wake you up — it can start a conversation, create a memory, and bring people together. That’s the kind of energy we aim to bring to every event we do
