We were lucky to catch up with Paul Kolazinski recently and have shared our conversation below.
Paul, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
my nurture and nature both provide my calling as an artist. I have ancestors who were very successful artisans, attention to detail, observation, intelligence, curiosity, and wonder, all combine. I was born to be an artist. when I stop making art, for any length of time, my body and soul feel the negative repercussions . I feel more complete when I participate in Art.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
as an artist, I have a unique product. I blend painting and sculpture, in a way that is novel. I find myself endlessly experimenting with different combinations to produce truly unique work. my work is so unique, most people dont know how to process it, even other artists. the experience is brand new, and this challenges the viewers mind on many levels.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
three qualities of mine that are impactful, I am romantic. by this I mean, I allow myself to be fully emotionally attached to art. I am naive, allowing myself to be as pure as possible, in terms of decision making. I also learned that surrounding myself with others, who were different from me, and smarter than me, to be very beneficial.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
my parents acknowledged I was serious about art. they understood, that their low interest in art was not the only metric for how important art was for me.
