We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paul Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paul below.
Paul, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
That’s a great question. Growing up I was always fairly quiet, and very introverted as well. If I ever had to present a project, or speak in front of a crowd of people, I would always shake nervously, my palms would get sweaty, and I’d turn into a complete shell of myself. Once I identified that I had a deep fear of being seen, I knew that I had to figure out how to open up, as to not to carry my anxiety into every situation and circumstance going forward. Besides, there was no way I would ever be a working actor as long as I was afraid of people, and afraid to open up. Through introspection, I discovered that I really hated to be afraid of anything, and so once I became aware of that deep internal barrier, I always tried my best to figure out how to overcome it. The first step was actually to intentionally become a waiter; a position that would force me out of my comfort zone in order to learn how to speak to people, and earn great tips as well. I started at a TGI Friday’s in DC, worked at a French restaurant on the Upper East Side in NY, and also found my way to a 5-star restaurant at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. Over that time I really enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life, and I equally learned how to be seen, and be myself with all of them in the process. Once I learned that I could find common ground with just about anyone, and advance in my career in the process, I genuinely found myself able to feel more empowered in just about any endeavor. I carried this mindset into my work in finance, education, entrepreneurship, and of course, acting. Along the way I also developed my own spiritual practices, and was able to see a correlated boost in my work as long as I remained persistent in acquiring more knowledge, and wisdom. I think when you learn how to be secure in yourself, you trust yourself, and remain ambitious, I find that the universe draws to you an abundance of opportunities and synchronicities to push us forward. Now that doesn’t mean that your pursuits won’t be without failure, hardship, or mistakes along the way, but you do know that you’ll always figure it out as long as you have presence, passion, resiliency, and integrity.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Over the last 15 years, I’ve spent the majority of my time acquiring knowledge in the areas of consciousness, spirituality, quantum physics, ancestral knowledge, and even philosophy. These areas of study have not only been integral to my own personal development, but I also attribute all of my career success to expanding in these fields in knowledgeable, and integrative ways. As time passes, I believe we’re capable of living in an age where wisdom and ancient knowledge can combine with new tech to improve the modern world we’re all collectively experiencing. I’ve spent years documenting everything I’ve learned into thousands of pages of notes, and in the last two years I’ve begun to share bits and pieces of my work on social media. Through that sharing, I’ve been blessed to not only find a community of thousands that resonate with the same unique understandings, but I’ve also been able to organize my writings into my first book that I’m pretty excited about sharing. The book represents not only our sacred journey of remembering this knowledge, but also it represents the beginning of a much larger vision I’m building that takes all of this knowledge, and reveals our Akashic records to us along with other deeper insights. In our work, we’re beginning to use modern technology in order to help people access transformational insights, and personalized guidance that speaks directly to your soul, and expands the mind in healthier ways. The goal is to build bridges between both the mystical and the practical, and the ancient with innovation. It won’t be generic tools and advice, but instead a technology that understands exactly where you are on your journey, and builds bridges to exactly where you want to go in life. I think we all deserve to be doing works and services that we’re passionate about in this lifetime, and this for me, fulfills that in an aligned and priceless way. I genuinely love the work that I’m pursuing, and my hope is that it strengthens and empowers others in the same exact way.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Qualities that I think are most impactful are learning to trust your intuition, not letting fear keep you from your very attainable goals (some might call them “delusional”), and staying open to new ideas; because we don’t know everything, we may not always be right or the smartest in the room, and our specific way of doing things might not be the quickest, or most efficient way to achieve our goals. You know, I’ll also add having, and maintaining boundaries that protect your peace as a bonus! All of these traits help us to expand our sense of self, move through the world with more authority, and interconnect us with the manifestations we seek to ultimately embody. If you’re early on the path to developing these skills for yourself, I encourage you to learn how to meditate, journal diligently about your fears and keeping asking yourself questions until you get to the root causes of them, and find the community of people that see who you truly are, love who you are, and are supportive and excited about who you have yet to be. A healed inner world, and a healthy tribe make all the difference in the world when it comes to exploring a more healthier, aligned, and adventurous life.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
That’s a deep one. Honestly, I sat with the truth of my human mortality a long time ago, and for most of my life I was really afraid of it. My practices, my relationship to my ancestors, and my knowledge have very much flipped that table of over, and I live my life now, and will spend my life going forward in my own more expansive understandings. Ones that recognize and honor that I’m going to make mistakes and that’s ok, that I always have room for growth and expansion, that you treat souls with kindness and respect, and that death, is far far from the end. It’s just another beginning, from a new perspective. With that in mind, if I only had a decade of time left, I would spend it exactly as I do now; present, aware, giving, optimistic, and peaceful. That’s the abundance that meditation and integration gave me – the ability to carry all of these qualities into every relationship that I have, and into everything that I do; whether it’s buying groceries, hyping someone up and giving them their flowers, or working with people that I love, and highly respect. It’s meeting the moment with intention, and consideration as often as you can; never perfect, but always doing our best. This journey is a blank canvas, and it’s up to every single one of us to make the time that we have left, art.
