Perdell, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my faith. I know that I can do all things through Christ. Here is an example. I am shooting a feature film with no budget but somewhere we are getting the money needed to film each and every day.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a cinematographer / director and the most exciting thing for me is when I am on set, I call it my heaven. I love the creative process of film making. Having a script and then seeing it being bought to life with the actors and then edited is so amazing. Right now I am working on my feature film called Mercy. This will be out at the end of this year.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Stay focus, be consistent and be able to out work everyone. You don’t have to be the best, you just have to be the hardest working person in the room.
If you are trying to be a cinematographer, practice lighting, Learn everything you can about lighting a room, not just people but an entire room.
