Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Peter Joseph. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Peter, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Before entering the insurance industry, I spent 24 years in the nonprofit sector. I wanted to provide my family with greater financial stability while utilizing my servant’s heart in a field that aligned with my values. With the unwavering support of my wife, Bonnie, a Clinical Supervisory Social Worker, and my two children, Julia (15) and Noah (10), I decided to embark on this new journey.
Starting my own business just months before the pandemic in 2020 was a challenge, but I saw a niche in assisting seniors navigate the complexities of Medicare. My goal was to be an educator rather than a salesperson, helping individuals understand their insurance options while fostering a knowledgeable team. Over the past eight years, I have built a successful business with a team of 21 agents and am now licensed in 34 states for life, health, property, and casualty insurance.
My faith in God, the love of my family, and the support of my colleagues have been my greatest inspirations. At Joseph Insurance Broker LLC, we prioritize a customer-first approach, tailoring insurance solutions to meet the unique needs of our over 900 clients. Our mission is to simplify the insurance landscape, ensuring individuals and businesses receive the best possible coverage for their needs and budgets.
Through workshops and seminars, I am committed to empowering clients with knowledge on topics such as education funding strategies and lifetime income planning. This dedication to education has set us apart in the industry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My parents emigrated from Egypt to the United States in 1968 in pursuit of a better life for their children. This decision continues to inspire my motivation today. I was born and raised in Southern California, where my love for local sports teams and beach communities grew immensely. I am passionate about serving others, cherish spending time with my family, and am an avid sports enthusiast—cheering passionately for the Lakers, Dodgers, and LA Rams! I enjoy attending live sporting events, and I played basketball in junior high and high school. Additionally, I have coached and officiated AAU basketball for several years. My tranquil escape is in beach communities, and I love traveling the world—having visited over 26 countries! I earned my BS from the University of California, Irvine, and my Master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. My initial career path was in the non-profit sector, working with churches and mission organizations. However, I eventually realized that the same negative politics present in the broader world also affected this industry, and I grew weary of working for individuals who were hypocritical.
When I dived into this industry, one of the biggest challenges I faced was navigating the political ramifications of working in churches and nonprofits, which led to financial instability and frequent relocations. However, these hardships strengthened my resilience and prepared me for the business world. So I decided to seek an industry where I could be my own boss and still use my same skillset that I honed. Starting a company during the pandemic presented additional hurdles. With no financial backing, I spent countless hours researching my industry and securing grants to fund my business. Building trust with clients required door-to-door outreach and 50-hour workweeks. Overcoming these challenges has allowed me to establish a thriving company with a strong reputation. I have a servant’s heart and have always had a passion to educate and serve others in any capacity, helping them better their lives if I can.
What notable recognitions and accreditations have you received?

Additionally, I serve as an ambassador for the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce and sit on the Board of Directors for Paws4Success/Rebel Ranch.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Patience – Building a business, especially during a pandemic, required immense patience. From securing funding to developing a client base, the journey was anything but easy.
2. Perseverance – I started with no initial capital and had to be resourceful. Through grants, economic relief funds, and support from organizations like the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce, I was able to sustain and grow my business.
3. A Caring Heart – My passion for helping others has been a guiding principle. Mentorship from industry leaders such as Donna Poole, Christian Brindle (CEO of Everything Senior Insurance), and Jay Ramirez (Sales Executive) further reinforced my commitment to client education and ethical business practices.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would love to continue to collaborate with small business owners, dental offices, and financial advisors. They can reach out to me via email at [email protected] or my business phone (909)217-2630. Medicare and healthcare is a growing and changing industry, and I want to have referral partners where I can send my clients who need advice on their financial health. In turn, I’d like to be a source for my collaborators to provide needed healthcare for their clients.
My primary goal is to continue expanding my team of licensed agents so if you are interested in joining a great team and having great resources and a great mentor, then reach out to me. You won’t regret it. I’m also looking to hire virtual assistants to enhance customer service. As our clientele continues to grow rapidly, maintaining accessibility and high-quality support remains a priority.
I also aim to make a greater impact within the Chino Valley Community by supporting local schools and offering free educational seminars. My vision is to solidify Joseph Insurance Broker LLC as a reputable, trustworthy company with consistently high ratings and positive client feedback.
