Meet PIERRE DUBOIS

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have PIERRE with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
It’s such a vast question … work ethic covering many aspects : responsibility, diligence, professional demeanor, self-discipline, integrity … I would focus on the most important aspect of all for me : responsibility, meaning taking ownership of what you do or what your team does.
To me it came at a young age with my parents and other teaching figures that helped me building the confidence you need to acknowledge and face your mistakes and the sense of duty that needs to come with that, especially the duty you have towards people around you, teammates, colleagues, relatives …

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
DashStylists is all about bringing hair services directly to your doorstep. We understand that not everyone can make it to the salon or barbershop, especially seniors and people who are homebound. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to make at-home hair services easily accessible.

Our awesome tech platform allows any hairstylist or barber to go mobile and offer their services right in the comfort of your own home. Wherever you are, we’ve got you covered! Whether you live in a house, an assisted living community, a nursing home, or even a rehab center, we’re here to serve you.

With our ever-growing network of over 40 mobile stylists in Georgia and Florida, we’re committed to making sure you get the hair treatment you deserve.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Critical Thinking: Critical thinking refers to the ability to analyze and evaluate information objectively and independently. It involves logical reasoning, problem-solving, and making well-informed decisions based on evidence. Critical thinkers are adept at questioning assumptions, considering multiple perspectives, and approaching challenges with a systematic and open-minded approach.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential in both personal and professional settings. Strong communication skills involve being able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly, listening actively, and adapting communication style to suit different audiences. Good communicators can convey information accurately, build rapport, and resolve conflicts more effectively.

Adaptability and Resilience: The world is constantly evolving, and being able to adapt to change is crucial. Adaptability involves being flexible, open to learning new skills, and embracing new situations. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks, overcome obstacles, and maintain a positive mindset in the face of adversity. These qualities enable individuals to navigate uncertain circumstances and thrive in dynamic environments.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Absolutely. We are actually rollin out our at-home hairstylists services in a new area : South Florida, from Miami to West Palm Beach, including Fort Lauderdale then. It’s always a challenge because every new area we launch has its own demographics. In majority we provide our mobile beauty services to older adults, so the concentration and the dispersion of senior population in an area are crucial to our business.
Often underestimated are the geographical challenges … mobile hairstylists, or mobile barbers for the matter, will drive up to 15-20 miles to clients, So if you have a city like Tampa, Seattle or SF build around a bay, driving distances can vary a lot. So we have to factor this in for our travelling hairstylists.
