Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pimptress . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Pimptress , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I learned to stop overthinking everything honestly, whatever I’m going through, whatever type of mood or vibe I’m in. I write about that particular thing. I can make a happy song out of pain! So I really just think of subjects based upon what my day was like or what I saw throughout the day or my experiences throughout the day. Lately that’s how I’ve been creating good catchy music but still being myself at the same time
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m an artist! I sing, rap and write every single lyric you hear from me! I’ve also recently became a brand ambassador and social media content creator. My brand represents me and who I am as a person and my struggle, my determination, my consistency and my strength to never have given up on my dream to become one of the biggest artist in the world! Before I leave this earth everyone will definitely know who I am musically. The most exciting part about being an artist for me is performing in front of tons of people/fans and just getting that amazing feedback and energy from the crowd. Something else that excites me is my fans period. The fact that I have fans message me on social media just to tell me they love me and what I’m doing and I’ve never met them personally is a thrill to me. I have so many things going on now. Sept 8th I will be releasing my very first single through Sony Records! So I’m super excited about that. I can’t wait for my fans to hear this! New Single is titled “Fake Beef” produced by The Brotherz Beatz so that will be streaming on all major platforms. Please go check it out along with all my other music on all platforms. I will also be performing this year again at Loud On 7th Fest in Tampa, FL so if you’re in town please get your tickets now and come see me perform my new single. I have new videos dropping and plenty of new music dropping!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Honestly all the mistakes I made actually helped me to learn more! Those mistakes back then made me make better choices and decisions today. My advice to any upcoming musicians/artist is to keep going! I’ve learned you can’t really listen to what everyone has to say. You have to believe in yourself. I’ve also learned that your dream is just that your dream! It’s Up to you to make it happen. You can’t make someone believe in your dream the same way you do but at the end of the day make it happen
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth in the last 12 months has been not procrastinating with anything at all. If I know I have something to do I just go ahead and do that way there’s no excuses on why something didn’t get done or I didn’t accomplish something I really wanted to do. Something else I’ve improved alot on is being extremely hard on myself. I’m getting better at speaking more positive about myself
