Hi Poca, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I would say I get my resilience from GOD. I never had an I give up mindset. If plan A didn’t work; I would move on to plan B or until the problem was resolved. Life is full of challenges and the enemy only has one job. That job is to kill, steal and destroy. No matter my mental or emotional mindset; I know I can overcome any obstacle thrown my way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Hi guys! My name is Poca Nova. I’m a music artist from Birmingham, Alabama. I have been living in Dallas, Texas for a little over a year now. I love Texas! Check out my hot new single called “Getting To It’ available on all platforms. I do have a music video on YouTube so make sure to subscribe to my channel. I’m sure I have something in my catalog that would tickle your fancy. I have a new song called “Slide” available on August 1, 2024.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey was first being true and authentic to myself. It’s okay to say NO and be the villain in peoples stories. If someone is asking you to do something that is not respecting your values or morals; you may need to sever ties with that person. Secondly, I always trust myself. No one can persuade me or change my mind about any goal or idea I am trying to achieve. Lastly, hate and jealously is fuel to my fire. If know one is hating on you; you may not be doing as good in life as you thought. People only hate on you when you become more successful than them. So continue to rise and shine so bright no matter who eyes you have to hurt in the process.
